ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Traffic at Roanoke entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway was up 4.7 percent last month, compared with last June, while the number of travelers along all Virginia portions of the scenic highway fell 9.5 percent in the same period. With a gain of 14.8 percent in North Carolina, however, the total was up 5 percent from last year.

So far this year, overall parkway traffic is off 10.3 percent compared with the first six months of last year.
