A Civil War re-enactment will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hidden Valley, located in the George Washington National Forest.
Confederate soldiers from Suffolk's 32nd Virginia Co. H will host eight units from Roanoke, Vinton, Salem, Bristol, Tenn., and Rockymount, N.C.
The camps will be open to the public. Sunday, a church service also will be open to the public. There were no major battles fought in Bath County, but there was a raid there in August 1863.
Admission is $3 for the camps. Warwickton (the house used for the movie ``Sommersby'') will be open for tours for an additional fee. The summer museum space also will be open for tours.
