          Birthday" sung to him at a celebration of his 100th. Via is the 
          oldest surviving veteran of the 325 Regimental Combat Team of the 
          82nd Infantry Division of World War I. A Botetourt County native, 
          Via joined the Army on Aug. 4, 1918. His birthday party at Snyder 
          Nursing Home on Saturday was sponsored by the Roanoke Valley All 
          Airborne chapter of the 82nd Airborne Association. color.
