Four people were injured and a teen-age girl from Virginia killed when a van and car collided on West Virginia 20, state police said.
Amanda Tincher, 14, of Elliston died at Princeton Community Hospital, said Trooper D.B. Rogers in Princeton.
Robert Evans, 14, of Alderson was treated at the Princeton hospital and transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center, where he was in critical condition in intensive care Saturday morning. Randall Lee Goodson, 22, of Alderson was in stable condition at the Princeton hospital, officials said.
Robert Brown, 67, and his wife, Nancy, 61, of Bristol, Tenn., were treated and released at the Princeton hospital. Their grandson, Richard Hoffert, 13, of Clarksville, Tenn., was not hurt, officials said.
Goodson, Evans and Tincher, apparently friends, were in the car, while the Browns and their grandson were in the van, Rogers said. Goodson was cited for driving left of center, the trooper said.
The accident happened about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Rogers said.
