Hanging Rock golf professional Chip Sullivan shot a two-day total of 139 to finish third in the Shrine Classic tournament in Harrisonburg.
Sullivan carded a 72 on Saturday at the Country Club of Staunton and a bogey-free 67 on Sunday at the Spotswood Country Club in Harrisonburg to pocket $1,125.
Mike Moyers of Greene Hills Country Club in Stanardsville won the tournament with a total of 135. Rob McNamara of Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville was second at 138.

K.J. Hippensteel of Roanoke defeated Brian Farrell of Lilburn, Ga., 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the boys 16-and-under division of the National Tennis Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Saturday. Hippensteel will play Brian Barki of Oklahoma City today.
The schedule for Franklin County Speedway was rained out Saturday night. Tickets for the rained-out races and rain checks will be honored at this week's races.
Liberty University head football coach Sam Rutigliano has announced the hiring of Ron Bolton as defensive secondary coach. Bolton, who played under Rutigliano while with the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns, has operated a restaurant since 1983 and has not coached on the collegiate level before.
