ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Sales of houses in the Roanoke Valley fell 9.6 percent in July from last year, according to the Multiple Listing Service of Roanoke Valley, but the 330 homes sold represented a 10 percent increase from June. The median price of a home was $97,700. On average, buyers paid 2.3 percent less than the listed price, and properties spent an average of 80 days on the market. The most expensive house sold for $415,000; the least expensive house sold for $10,000.
