FUGITIVE FACES NEW CHARGES POLICE FIND BOMB AMONG BELONGINGS

A Montgomery County man wanted on misdemeanor charges in Maryland now faces felony charges in Montgomery after authorities found a pipe bomb and a sawed-off shotgun among his belongings.

Timothy McGill, 33, of Whitethorne was carrying bags and crates to his car when deputies and bail bondsmen from Maryland approached him shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday at his Roundhouse Road home, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

McGill fled and was still at large Thursday night.

Authorities found the bomb and shotgun in McGill's bags. He faces charges of possession of a sawed-off shotgun and manufacture of an explosive device.

Two bail bondsmen from Maryland notified the Sheriff's Office that McGill had failed to appear in court on indecent exposure, trespassing and resisting arrest charges - all misdemeanors.

The bondsmen tracked McGill to his Montgomery County home and planned to take him back to Maryland.
