GUY RICHARDS APPEARING AT COMEDY CLUB

In school, when he was supposed to be sitting in class, he was standing up, acting like a clown. Today, he's a stand-up comic.

New York comedian Guy Richards, who's appeared on Showtime, HBO and TV shows ranging from "21 Jump Street" to "Miami Vice," will take his act to The Roanoke Comedy Club tonight for two shows, to be held at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

"I sing, do impressions, I'm a choreographer, comic, an entertainer. I can do anything and everything, it depends on the crowd," Richards said en route from New York to Virginia.

Impressions mean the likes of Rodney Dangerfield and Sammy Davis Jr. - even Bullwinkle.

He can do Italian dialects and, of course, Brooklyn. He claims he can do Southern, too.

Tickets for the show cost $8 per person.
