Free immunizations
CHRISTIANSBURG - The Women's Center for Health Education at New River Valley Mall is offering free childhood immunization Aug. 20. Any child entering school or any child needing to update his/her immunizations can come. A parent or guardian must accompany the child. Parents also should bring the child's shot records. Voter registration
BLACKSBURG - In addition to regular registration sites, the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County will have additional registration sites to vote for fall elections. The locations are:
Kmart, Christiansburg - Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
New River Valley Mall, Christiansburg - Aug. 24, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
