PRICES FORK FAIR IS TODAY

Exhibits for about 100 household and agricultural categories at today's Prices Fork Community Fair will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at the Grange Hall. Pets should be brought in at 10 a.m., which is when judging will begin. Babies must be registered in the Grange booth before the 3 p.m. contest.

Exhibits which have won first place before, except for pets, may not be re-entered and an entrant is allowed only one submission per category. There is a prize of $2 for first place and $1 for second.

The highlight of the day will be the 10th annual WKEX (1430 AM) "Hollering Contest," with an adult and a junior division. WKEX will also broadcast live from the fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 6 to 9 p.m. The station will cover the free concert by The Flat Ridge Boys at 7 p.m. on the outdoor stage in front of Grange Hall.

The evening will end with the crowning of Little Miss and Little Mr. Prices Fork at 9 p.m. Only children attending kindergarten through fifth grade at Prices Fork Elementary School are eligible. The day's event is sponsored by the Price's Fork Grange #786.
