At Hollins College, DIANE GRAVES has been appointed library director, JENNIE ISBELL has been hired as research director, REBECCA ECKSTEIN has been named director of financial aid, and ZOE THEODOR has been appointed director of alumnae affairs.
Graves, who is associate dean of libraries and head of the J.D. Williams Library at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, will assume her position at Hollins Sept. 3.
Isbell comes from the development office at the University of Virginia. Eckstein has been on the Hollins staff for three years, most recently as assistant director of financial aid. Theodor, a 1993 Hollins graduate, returns from Atlanta, where she was an analyst/trainer at IBM.

Several former employees of The Roanoke Times have joined The Robert Claiborne Agency, a Roanoke advertising firm. TODD MARCUM has been hired as a senior copywriter. He previously worked at the newspaper as a copy writer. In addition to copy writing, he also produces and directs radio, television and video productions. STEPHEN HARLOW has been named an associate art director at the agency. Harlow recently was the art director at The Roanoke Times. DAVID STANLEY has been hired as a graphic designer at Robert Claiborne, the same position he held at the newspaper.
ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS
CHARLES JOHN "BUD" HART JR. has joined Roanoke-based Sherertz Franklin Crawford Shaffner Inc. as an architectural intern/designer. His responsibilities are architectural design, design development and construction drawings and administration.
BANKING
WILLIAM N. STOYKO and CHARLES W. TYSINGER have been promoted from corporate executive officers to corporate executive vice presidents at Central Fidelity Banks Inc. The Richmond-based bank holding company operates offices in Roanoke and Southwestern Virginia.
LISA WHITAKER has been promoted from internal control analyst to operations officer at First Union National Bank of Virginia's operations service center in Roanoke. She joined the bank in 1991 as a staff accountant.
DEBORAH COOK has been named vice president at The Bank of Marion. She will be a loan officer and director of compliance at the bank, where she has been employed as internal auditor for seven years. MILLIE BURKE, assistant vice president at the bank, has been promoted to branch manager of The Bank of Glade Spring, a branch of The Bank of Marion. She has worked for the bank for 24 years. JOHN A. LINCOLN has joined The Bank of Marion as a loan adjuster, having previously worked for NationsBank. JULIE A. MARTIN has joined the bank as internal auditor. She formerly was a staff accountant for Charles E. Atkins CPA and was self-employed as a bookkeeper.
ENVIRONMENT
ANDREW A. HETZ has been named vice president-field services of ETS Inc., a subsidiary of ETS International Inc. Hetz joined the Roanoke company in 1992. ETS Inc. is a technology-based environmental company that provides pollution control products and services.
GOVERNMENT
TRACIE McKENNEY has joined the Salem Civic Center as civic facilities sales representative and will be responsible for marketing special events.
S. STEVE STROSNIDER has been appointed by Gov. George Allen to the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists. He is co-chairman of the department of psychological medicine at Lewis-Gale Clinic in Salem.
LAW
DAVID G. HARRISON, a principal of The Harrison Firm in Roanoke, has been elected a member of the American Society of International Law, an organization of government officials, diplomats, jurists, academics and attorneys. Harrison, who has practiced business and commercial law for 23 years, represents businesses in exports and imports.
REBECCA T. HUNSINGER has joined the Roanoke law firm of Carter, Brown & Osborne as administrator. Hunsinger comes to the firm with experience as an administrator for a certified public accounting firm, office manager, accounting-services supervisor and controller for a regional company.
MANUFACTURING
CHARLES W.J. KOSTELNI has been promoted from assistant controller to corporate controller of Georgia Bonded Fibers Inc., a Newark, N.J.-based manufacturer of fiberboard and foam products with a plant in Buena Vista. Kostelni has been with the company since 1994.
VAN BARNES has joined Mod-U-Kraf Homes Inc. in Rocky Mount as territory sales manager for the recently opened market of western South Carolina. Barnes has more than 25 years of experience in construction.
NONPROFITS
GILDA GENTRY has been appointed director of education at the Virginia Museum of Transportation Inc. in Roanoke. Also at the museum, DAVID McCALL has been named collections and resources administrator, ELIZABETH BISHOP has been elected director of exhibits and PATRICIA SISSION has been appointed director of development and public relations.
Virginia's Explore Park has added DEAN FERGUSON, EDDIE GOODE and WILLIAM R. VAN VELZER to its education staff as historic interpreters. Also at Explore, ANDREA L. BORK, director of development since 1994, has resigned to accept the position of major gifts officer with the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn.
TECHNOLOGY
The Industrial Technology Group of Lynchburg-based Framatome Technologies has announced three appointments in its simulation services group: CHARLES TALLY has been named manager of the group, PAUL SHOEMAKER will be responsible for business development and GREG MALAN will be responsible for software development. Framatome Technologies provides U.S. nuclear utilities with fuel and diagnostic, operating, maintenance and repair services.
