COLEMAN, Sheila Diane, 36, of Buena Vista, died Friday, August 16, 1996 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born March 18, 1960 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Margaret Lee Clark Coleman and the late Clyde E. Coleman. She attended Christ Gospel Church. Surviving, with her mother of Buena Vista, is a son, David M. Coleman, of the home; two brothers, Larry Coleman of Buena Vista and Rex Coleman and his wife, Dana, of Natural Bridge. The funeral service will be conducted from th e graveside in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens 2 p.m. Monday, August 19,1996, with the Rev. Buford Collins officiating. HOGUE, James Calvin, 75, of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Rockbridge Co., Va., died Thursday, August 15, 1996, at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Da rby, Pa. Born December 30, 1920, in Rockbridge Co., he was the son of the late Harry R. Hogue and Hattie Cummings Hogue. He was retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil Co., and was a veteran of WWII, having served with the 29th Division, 116 Inf. D-Day Normandy Invasion. Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Zimmerman Hogue. Surviving are sisters and brothers-in-law, Dora and Albert DeVuono, Secane, Pa., Ruby and Chester Deacon, Lexington, Hilda Hogue, Lexington; brother, Harry R. Hogue, Lexington; one nephew, Carl J. DeVuono, West Chester, Pa.; two nieces, Susan D. Irvine and Robin D. Kramer, both of Lexington; two special friends, T. J. and Becky. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, August 19, 1996, at 11 a.m. from Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery, the Rev. Barton Helmuth officiating. Harrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

IKARD, George Witten, 73, of Roanoke, died Friday, August 16, 1996, at his home. He was born in Fletcher, Okla., January 28, 1923, to the late George W. and Alta M. Ikard. He received a degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1944. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army in the Philippines. Mr. Ikard lived in Provo, Utah, for 16 years and was transferred to Virginia in 1967. In 1988, he retired from Hercules Inc. with more than 26 years service. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Jean Barney Ikard; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Barry Martin, Roanoke, Cindy and Bob Stanislawski, Austin, Texas, Terri and Reid McClure, Salem; six grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Aaron Martin, Scott Ikard, Dana Stanislawski, Greg Stanislawski, Mark Stanislawski; a sister, Mildred I. Bourgeois, Mooresville, N.C.; two brothers, Jesse Ikard, Shawnee, Okla., Gerald Ikard, Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will have a private graveside service. ILCONICH, Joseph George, 80, of Daleville, formerly of Rossford, Ohio and North Port, Fla., died Friday, August 16, 1996. He is survived by three daughters, Donna Marie Cudworth of Daleville, Constance Jean Walters of Oreg on, Ohio, Jo Ann Itzkowitz of Vernon, Conn.; one stepson, Dan Schmidt of Canton, Ohio; three brothers, George Ilconich and his wife, Minnie, of Rossford, Ohio, Michael Ilconich of New Jersey, Ebb Ilconich of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Anne Chittier and Mary Lynch, both of Pennsylvania; a special sister-in-law, Katherine Ilconich of Rossford, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 19,1996 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Daleville, Va., with the Rev. J. Harmon Smith officiating. KEGLEY, Neal Pierson, Sr., 76, of Rt. 3, Box 126 (Brookmont Road), Pulaski, died Saturday morning, August 17, 1996 at his home. He was born in Pulaski, Va. on January 5, 1920 and was the son of the late French W. Kegley and Ellen K. Thompson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Louise Kegley and by two brothers, Douglas E. Kegley, Sr. and French W. Kegley. He was a retired owner and contractor of the Air Control Corp., Pulaski. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Brookmont Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Irene Farmer Kegley, Pulaski; son, Neal Pierson Kegley, Jr., Pulaski; brother, Roger M. Kegley, Pulaski; four sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Erline) Lester, Blowing Rock, N.C., Mrs. Douglas (Doris) Flick, Shawsville, Mrs. T. D. (Imogene) Newman, Pulaski, Mrs. Monty (Barbara) Monteith, Pulaski. MOORE, Christine A., 54, of Buchanan, died Friday, August 16, 1996. She was preceded in death by both parents, James C. Kearns and Dorethea E. Loyd. Survivors include one son, Rodney D. Moore II and his wife, Annie, Fredericksburg; one daughter, Rhonda M. Keen and her husband, Wesley, Buchanan; one stepgrandson, Steven W. Biggs, Buchanan; brothers and sisters-in-law, James C. Kearns and wife, Susie, Buchanan, Willard L. Kearns and wife, Irene, Springfield; former husband, Ronnie Moore, Eagle Rock. In honor of her request, Christine has been cremated. NANCE, Kelly Woodrow, 78, of Hillsville, died Friday, August 16, 1996, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem. He was a retired construction worker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of VFW Post #1115 of Hillsville. Survivors include his wife, Vergie Mabry Nance of Hillsville; one son, Jack Phillip Nance and his wife Beverly of Vinton; four grandchildren, Cheryl Trent and her husband Wesley of Las Vegas, Nev., Jay Nance and his wife Teri of Roanoke, Charlene Nance of Roanoke and Neal Nance of Vinton; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Trent, Jacob Trent, Kristen Nance and Phillip Nance. NELSON, Roy David, Sr., 68, of Hardy, died Saturday, August 10, 1996, in a Sa lem hospital. He was retired from Vinton Weaving Mill. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Howard Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Minnix Nelson; one son, Roy David (``Chuck"") Nelson Jr. of Vinton; three stepsons and wives, Roy A. and Rita Greer, Roger L. and Sandra D. Greer and Tony J. and Peggy Greer of Hardy; two stepdaughters, Shelby L. Greer of Vienna and Mary B. Greer of Wirtz; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James T. Nelson of Hardy and Carl and Marion Nelson of Maryland; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris N. and Donald Leftwich of Hardy and Norma N. and John Wofford of Wilmington, N.C.; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Nelson; six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. NIXON, Roy C., 71, of Route 3, Box 216, Pulaski, died Friday, August 16, 1996, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem. He was born in Pulaski on December 25, 1924, and was the son of the late Clarence Robert Nixon and Daisy Bell Donithan Nixon. He also was preceded in death by a son, Cecil W. Nixon; a brother, Abraham Nixon, and a sister, Ruby Ritter. Mr. Nixon was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry in Radford. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a former POW. Surviving are his wife, Nellie S. Nixon of Pulaski; a daughter, Wanda Collins of Pulaski; a son, Burleigh J. Nixon of Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. John (Ethel) Marceau of Portsmouth and Mrs. Buster (Betty) Long of Tobaccoville, N.C.; two brothers, George C. Nixon of Carson, Calif., and Samuel E. Nixon of Pulaski; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Faith Tabernacle Church, Mt. Olivet Road, Pulaski, with the Rev. Eugene Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with Pulaski VFW Post #1184 conducting the military graveside rites. SMITH, Christine Foster, 78, of Roanoke, died Friday, August, 16, 1996. Born April 21, 1918, in Callaway, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian O. Smith. STANCAMPIANO, Joseph Ferdanan, 87, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, August 17, 1996 at his r esidence. Born August 22, 1908 in Palermo, Sicily, he was the son of the late Francis and Frances Navaro Stancampiano. He was retired from Reeves Brothers and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lexington, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Buena Vista Lions Club and the AARP. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Albanese Stancampiano. Surviving are two daughters, Dolores S. Kennedy of Roanoke and Dina A. Dudley of Buena Vista; son, Frank Stancampiano of Brooklyn, N.Y.; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Salvatore of Los Angeles, CA. The funeral mass will be conducted Tuesday, August 20, 1996 at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Alan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery. UNDERWOOD, David Arthur, 56, of Floyd, passed away Friday, August 16, 1996 in Montgomery County as a result of an automobile accident. He was an employee of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Buckner Underwood, Floyd; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rodney Huff, Lisa and Jason Smith, all of Floyd; goddaughter, Channon Hubbard, Meadows of Dan; mother, Louise Quesenberry, Christiansburg; two grandc hildren, Kendall Blake Huff, Kendra Dion Smith, both of Floyd. YATES, Virginia Daisy Keesling, 75, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, August 15, 1996, at Brandon Oaks. Born in Pocahontas, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Keesling and Molly Daisy Scott Keesling. Her father was long associated with the New York Life Insurance Company. As a young woman, she worked with the Shenandoah Life Insurance Company. She attended school in Roanoke, where she resided for most of her life. She was an active member of the Grandin Court Baptist Church. Mrs. Yates is survived by her husband, George Talmadge Yates Jr.; her son, George Talmadge Yates III of Paris, France; her daughter, Deborah Eileen Yates Cox of Steinwenden, Germany; her brother, John Edgar Keesling Jr. of Roanoke; her sister, Hazel Keesling Bernard of Norfolk; her two grandsons, George Talmadge Yates IV and Jacob Tanner Cox; and her three granddaughters, Marie-Therese Gore Yates, Alexandra Caraccio Keesling Yates, and Taylor Nicole Cox. Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. Philip Motley Tuesday, August 20, 1996, at 11 a.m. in the Grandin Court Baptist Church, 2660 Brambleton Avenue, S.W., Roanoke.
