ALLISON, Keith E., 36, of 8525 Brubaker Drive, Roanoke, formerly of Draper, died Wednesday afternoon, August 21, 1996, in Pulaski County as the result of an automobile accident. Born on February 19, 1960, in Radford, he was the son of Margaret Windle Allison of Draper and the late William Wayne Allison Sr. He also was preceded in death by a brother, James Randy (``Smiley"") Allison, and a sister, Cindy Allison. He was a 1980 graduate of Pulaski County High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marie Christine Allison, Roanoke; two sons, Kacey Allison and Heith Allison, both of Roanoke; two brothers, William Wayne Allison Jr., Reed Creek, and Ricky Allison, Pulaski, and one sister, Alice A. Hensley, Dublin. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Preston O. Sartelle officiating. Burial will follow in the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski. The family will meet at the home of the sister, Alice Hensley, in the Lillydale area of Dublin.

BERNIER, Joseph James, 69, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 20, 1996 in a local hospital. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Bernier was a retired professor of Psychology at LaSalle University and a member of Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen Bernier, Roanoke; five children, Linda Bernier-Dash, Richard Bernier, James Bernier, Theresa Bernier, and Beth Bernier; four gra ndchildren; and three sisters. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church, 7 p.m. Sunday with the Reverend Kenneth Stofft officiating. Graveside services will be held in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Monday. Friends may call from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements are by Oakey's South Chapel

DeHAVEN, Harry Steve, 47, of 38 Vaughn Ave., Dublin, passed away Thursday, August 22, 1996 in the Carilion Radford Community Hospital. Born September 12, 1948 in Radford, Va., he was the son of the late Marion Albert DeHaven and Lucille Webb DeHaven. He was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church. He was Director of Operations for Pulaski County Schools and formerly taught in Pulaski County Schools for ten years. He was Commissioner for the New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BA in Political Science. He previously served on Board of American Red Cross and New River Valley VASAP Board and was active in the Pulaski County Democratic Party. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Gardner DeHaven, Dublin; two daughters and son-in-law, Emily and Douglas Rosson, Barboursville, Ellen Joanna DeHaven, Charlottesville; one grandson, Andrew Douglas Rosson; one sister, Mary Ella DeHaven, Newport News. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dublin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard J. Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the DeHaven Family Cemetery, Hillsville, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the Dublin United Methodist Church, Dublin, Va. or anytime at the home, 38 Vaughn Ave., Dublin, Va. EWALD, Thelma Price, 96, of Rural Retreat, died Wednesday, August 21, 1996, in the Birdmont Health Care Center in Wytheville. She was born in Montgomery Co., Va., the daughter of the late Arthur Herbert & Freddie Holt Price. She was the widow of Charles W. Ewald a nd had taught piano, tap dancing, and ballet for 35-40 years in Wythe and surrounding counties. She is survived by one daughter, Lucinda Ewald Nichols, Missouri City, Texas; nephew, Jack Price; grand-nephew, Price DeNiro, both of Somerset, Ky.; a niece, Peggy Shores, Wytheville. A graveside memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 1996 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat with Pastor Larry M. Bollinger officiating. FARMER, Oakley Jordan, 73, of Radford, died Wednesday, August 21, 1996 in a Radford hospital. He was a retired employee of the Hercules Inc. and a U. S. Army World War II Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan B. Farmer. Surviving are his wife, Imogene D. Air Force, hav ing served in World War II.
