Work has started on an 83,906-square-foot industrial shell building in the Pulaski County Corporate Center with completion expected by mid-December.
Pulaski County officials took part in a foundation-laying ceremony for the project Monday. It will be served by water, sewer, telephone and natural gas lines, and 34.5-kilovolt electrical lines.
The building will be owned by the Pulaski County Industrial Development Authority, and include office space amounting to 2,500 square feet and production space of 81,406 square feet. It will be expandable on three sides up to 330,624 square feet.
It was designed by architect Glenn Reynolds and will be built by Resource Consultants and Developers Inc. American Electric Power Co., the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership will market it to prospective industries.
