BLACKSBURG STORE ROBBED

Town police are looking for a man who robbed the Speedway Center convenience store on Prices Fork Road about 1 a.m. Friday.

The suspect was white, appeared to be in his early 20s, stood between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, and wore a tan hat and dark T-shirt. He entered the business in the 2700 block of Prices Fork Road and handed the cashier a note demanding money and stating he was armed. The man never showed a weapon, however, police said.

The suspect left the scene in a black compact car with an undetermined amount of money, according to police.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Blacksburg police at 981-1150.
