A lawsuit claiming Virginia Tech didn't provide equal athletic opportunities for women was filed after the university prepared a plan to expand women's sports. It was settled out of court with Tech admitting no wrongdoing and paying some of the legal fees for the Women's Law Center. A story about Virginia Tech student fees in Tuesday's Welcome Students section contained incorrect information about the lawsuit.
