Three men pushed an off-duty security guard to the ground outside a Southwest Roanoke convenience store Friday night and robbed her, police said.
Police gave this account:
A 19-year-old woman stopped at the Speedway store at 13th Street and Chapman Avenue Southwest on her way to work. About 9:15 p.m., as she opened her car door to leave, three men approached her.
One man slammed her door shut, and the three surrounded her. They knocked her to the ground, and one man took her security radio while another grabbed her canister of pepper spray.
The men then fled in a car. The woman was not seriously injured.
