ILLUSTRATION: PHOTO:      Virginia and Virginia Tech will battle for The 
          Commonwealth Cup this fall and every subsequent football season, the
          universities announced Friday. The Cavaliers and Hokies clash this 
          season in Blacksburg on Friday, Nov. 29. The trophy, made of marble 
          and cherry wood, is 4 feet high and weighs more than 100 pounds. The
          scores of all 77 games in the rivalry will be engraved on the sides.
          The Commonwealth Cup will remain in possession of the team that wins
          the annual game.
