In a battle of Timesland powers, Group A Floyd County used a big fourth quarter to defeat Group AA Northside 63-51 on Tuesday night in Floyd.

William Byrd 52, Staunton River 41: Brandy Allen had 17 points and nine rebounds as the Terriers (2-1) won a non-district game in Vinton.

Salem 58, Laurel Park 40: The Spartans cruised to their second victory as Sara Palmer scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in Salem.

Shawsville 71, James River 42: Sarah Hagood scored 26 points as the Shawnees (2-0) rolled to a non-district victory over the Knights (1-2) in Buchanan.

Highland 39, Craig County 25: The Rams (1-2) won a non-district contest between the two Pioneer District rivals. Craig County is 0-3.
