CLARISSA WILSON has joined Cox Communications as a customer service representative. She formerly was a teller at Crestar Bank and a customer service representative for Pitney Bowes and RPS Teleservice Center Inc.

VICKIE HOPKINS, office manager at AAA of Virginia in Roanoke, has been awarded the Helen Dixon Memorial award for her outstanding work with civic organizations such as M.A.D.D., Drunk Driving Awareness, rescue squads and R.E.A.C.H.

GREG RIELEY, a customer sales/service representative, was awarded the Winner's Circle award for having the highest percentage of AAA Plus sales in the Mid-Atlantic division and also the highest number of points over his quota.

VICKIE HUNGATE, an auto travel counselor with AAA, has been inducted into the 25-Year Club for years of service with the travel company.

ANGIE HART has joined ExecuTrain Corp. as a computer training instructor in the Roanoke office.

TINA MARIE STULL has been employed as a clerical assistant in the closing department of the Roanoke office of Lawyers Title Insurance Corp. Stull previously was a commercial insurance specialist with First Union National Bank of Virginia. She has also been a consumer loan processor with First Virginia Bank.

ROBERT TURNER of John Hancock Financial Services' Roanoke General Agency has earned the top sales manager position in the region by earning the most points based on productivity of his unit. He ranked 33rd among all John Hancock sales managers.

JUDY WILLIAMS and JOAN KINSER of Good Samaritan Hospice have passed the certification exam of the National Board for Certification of Hospice Nurses. Williams has been the director of nursing at Good Samaritan since 1993. Kinser has been a staff nurse at the hospice since 1993.

MIKE REED of the Salem Police Department has graduated from the Administrative Officers Program in a ceremony in Raleigh, N.C. He completed five courses taught by public administration faculty and conducted at training facilities provided by the Wake County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

JUANITA THOMPSON of Roanoke has joined the Longaberger Co. sales force as an independent consultant. The company makes and sells baskets and markets a full line of pottery, home accessories and wrought iron products.

YOKOHAMA TIRE CO. has received the Excellent Delivery and Certificate of Achievement for Quality Performance awards presented by Toyota Motor Manufacturing USA Inc.

THE VIRGINIA SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS has granted Life Member status to W. Bruce Overstreet Jr., Marion J. Thacker and Leo F. Waterman, all of Roanoke, in recognition of more than 40 years of continuous membership in the society.
