* Members of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church,107 W. Main St., celebrate the arrival of their new pastor, the Rev. Donald Edward Makin, with a picnic at the church at 3 p.m. today. He will lead special Rally Day worship services, with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. on Sunday. 382-2802.
*Luther Memorial Lutheran Church on Toms Creek Road in Blacksburg will begin a Wednesday night program at 6 p.m. featuring a meal and activities for adults and children.
