With Hurricane Fran whistling through Timesland, only two football games were played Friday, and they were scheduled in far Southwest Virginia where there was little if any rain.
The other games, except for nine contests, will be played today, though not necessarily at the same time as they were scheduled Friday.
Because the Amherst County-Pulaski County contest set for Amherst was postponed until Monday, next week's key Timesland clash between the Cougars and Salem will be played on Saturday instead of Friday.
