BENCHMARK WIN FOR AUBURN

Sophomore Susan Wirt came off the bench to score 20 points as Auburn stopped Christiansburg 50-44 on Saturday in a non-district contest.

Wirt picked up the slack when Auburn's starting point guard was injured early. She scored 12 of her 20 points in the second half. Laura Underwood also contributed 12 points for the Eagles.

Lisa Dalton led Christiansburg with 13 points.
