CELEBRATION - WEDDINGS

Benedict-Milligan

Melissa Davis Milligan, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Keith Milligan of Indialantic, Fla., was married on June 29 to Peter Bourne Benedict II, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter B. Benedict of Vero Beach, Fla. The Reverends Alexander Boyer, William G. Lewis and Amy Yount officiated at the ceremony in the chapel of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne, Fla.

Matron of ho nor was Kim Reeves, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Jessica Milligan, sister of the bride. Bridesmatrons were Margaret Milligan, sister-in-law of the bride, and Joan Kligerman. Junior bridesmaids were Devon Milligan and Millie Reeves, nieces of the bride.

The bridegroom's father served as his best man. Groomsmen were Robert Hedlund, Charles Hollis and Paul Ironside. Ushers were Michael Milligan, Sean Milligan and Wade Milligan, brothers of the bride, and Jefferson Reeves, brother-in-law of the bride. Readers were Anne Benedict and Eleanore Benedict Clem, sisters of the groom, and Kathleen Skelton, cousin of the bride.

A garden reception followed at the home of the bride. Guests attended from California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Australia and New Zealand. They reside in Roanoke.

The bride is a 1987 graduate of Saint Edward's School, Vero Beach, Fla., and received her bachelor's degree in political science from Colorado State University in 1992. She is employed as a teacher at North Cross School in Roanoke.

The bridegroom attended Saint Edward's School and was a 1988 graduate of The Hill School, Pottstown, Pa. He received his bachelor's degree in English from CSU in 1993 and his master's degree in secondary school education from Vanderbilt University in 1994. He is employed as a teacher at North Cross School where he also serves as coordinator of outdoor education.

Buzzo-Bond

Tracey Diane Bond and Johnny Vincent Buzzo, III were united in marriage in a candlelight setting on September 7, 1996, at Cave Spring Baptist Church in Roanoke with Reverend Michael Woody officiating. The church reception was held at the Kazim Temple ballroom with music provided by Kings Entertainment.

Sheri Bond, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Honor attendants were Angela Meador, cousin of the bride, Kimberly Asbury and Rebecca Massey, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Whitney Murphy, cousin of the bride, and Judy Buzzo, niece of the groom. Flower girl was Courtney Robertson, cousin of the bride. Soloist was Lynette Hill, and guest book attendant was Joly Byrd.

Shawn Comer, frien d of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Buzzo, brother of the groom, Marc Chandler and Alan Bower, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Travis Buzzo, nephew of the groom.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest O. Bond, Jr., of Roanoke. She attended Cave Spring High School and is a graduate of Radford University. She is employed by the City of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny V. Buzzo, Jr. of Bluefield, West Virginia. He attended Bluefield High School and is a graduate of Bluefield State College. He is also employed by the City of Roanoke. After a wedding trip to Ochos Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Roanoke.

Chaisson-Vandergrift

Tina Nadine Vandergrift and Kevin Paul Chaisson were married September 1, 1996 in LaMaison Garden, with the Reverend Jeffrey Spence officiating. The reception was held at LaMaison.

Matron of honor was Teresa Medley, sister. Bridesmaids were Linda Allen, Amber Bower, and Kim Shifflette, friends. The flowergirl was Allison Blankenship, friends daughter.

Don Chaisson, brother of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Butch Slusher, Kenny Davison, and Moon Mullins, friends. The ringbearer was Zack Johnson, friend. The guestbook was attended by Ami ``Nikki'' Welch.

The bride's gown was frosted white Vengaline. She carried a bouquet of magnolias, lilies and tiger lilies.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Shirley Vandergrift of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Fleming High School and is employed by R.M. Johnson & Sons Jewelers.

The groom is the son Paul and Paula Chaisson of Leominister, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Leominister High School and is employed by Import Auto.

The newlyweds will live in Vinton, after their wedding trip to South Carolina.

Davis-Testerman

Tina Reavis Testerman of Roanoke and William E. (Bill) Davis of Boones Mill, were united in marriage at 2:00 p.m. on September 7th, 1996 in North Roanoke Baptist Church. The Reverend Wessley C. Patterson officiated. The reception was held in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Marilyn Perdue, friend of the couple, served as matron of honor. Gordon E. Davis, father of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Greg Reavis and Chris Reavis, brothers of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Kelly Davis, niece of the groom and Heather LaPradd, niece of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herm (Sue) Reavis of Salem, Va., and Mrs. June Reavis of Hollins, Va. She is a graduate of Southern Seminary Junior College in Buena Vista, Va. and attended Averette College in Danville, Va., and is employed by the Veteran's Administration Medical Center. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Leone) Davis of Ashtabula, Ohio. He is a graduate of The Electronic Technology Institute and is employed by Coastal Mart, Inc.

The newlyweds will reside in Boones Mill, Va.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Lovern of Salem, Virginia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tillmann of Falls Church, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lovern of Blacksburg, Virginia.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy A. Deason of Forsyth, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mrs. Evelyn Scarborough of Macon, Georgia and the late Mr. Robert Jones, Mrs. Lessie Mae Deason of Macon, Georgia and the late Mr. William A. Deason.

Mrs. Marty DeBord, friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Jennifer Drummond, Miss Karen Lavinder, Mrs. Kim Monk, Miss Jennifer Ray, and Miss Susan Sizemore, all friends of the bride. Emily Clayton, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl. Beth Nance, friend of the bride, served as the honorary bridesmaid. Guest book attendants were Lauren and Robyn Burrows, cousins of the bride. The candlelighter was Chris Rhodes, friend of the bride. Artie and Daniel Cowan, nephews of the groom, and John Burrows and Kevin Tillmann, cousins of the bride, were program attendants.

Mr. Billy Deason, father of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Robert Deason, brother of the groom, Blair Lovern, brother of the bride, Brandt Gully, Jonathan Moore, Brian Smith, and Brad Thompson, friends of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Elon College. She was a former pre-school teacher in Salem. The groom is a graduate of Tatnall Square Academy in Macon Georgia and Elon College. He is employed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Atlanta, Georgia as a manager.

After a wedding trip to Kiawah Island, the couple will reside in Atlanta, Georgia.

Divers-Stiff

Rebecca Leigh Stiff and Brian Keith Divers were united in marriage on September 7, 1996. Reverend Vernon DeLong was the officiating clergyman. The wedding and reception were held at the home of Bryan and Kim Reynolds.

Kim Reynolds, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kim Schultz, Gwen Scott and Jalenda Newman, friends. Mike Divers, father of the groom; and Mark McKee, best friend, served as the best men. The ushers were Jay Divers and Corey Divers, brothers of the groom.

The bride is a daughter of Dale and Catherine Stiff of Moneta. She is a graduate of Staunton River High School in Moneta and attended Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke. She is employed by Moneta Pharmacy.

The groom is a son of Mike and Jeanette Divers of Vinton. He is a graduate of Staunton River High School, Radford University, and is employed by Bedford County Public School.

The newlyweds reside in Moneta, Va.

England-Kotermanski

Kristin Marie Kotermanski and Chadwick Shawn England were united in marriage on Saturday, August 17, 1996, at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church, Troutville, Virginia. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Kenneth Butterworth. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the groom's parents.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kotermanski of Allison Park, Pennsylvania. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas M. England of Troutville, Virginia.

The maid of honor was Christine R. Hippeli, close friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kara Kotermanski and Kelley Kotermanski, sisters of the bride, Laurel Odham, Tracy Tucker and Juliana Gibson, all friends of the bride. The flower girls were Emily and Ellen Kotermanski, nieces of the bride.

The best man was Douglas M. England, father of the groom. Groo msmen were Mark England and Pvt. Douglas England, brothers of the groom, Philip Jarvis, Steve Hite and Jayme Leonard, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was A. J. England, second cousin of the groom.

The wedding was coordinated and directed by Anna Merchant and Zee Bailey. The guestbook was attended by Mrs. Kimberly England, sister-in-law of the groom. Program attendant was Mrs. Melissa Hampton. Flint-Allman

During an afternoon candlelight ceremony on Saturday, August 31, 1996, Shannon Courtney Allman became the bride of Lance Corporal Matthew Shawn Flint at Waverly Place Baptist Church in Roanoke. The Rev. Calvin Benjamin Fulton, grandfather of the bride, officiated at the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Jim Milner.

Shannon is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Allman, Jr., and the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Calvin B. Fulton, and Mr. and Mrs. John K. Allman, Sr. Her honorary grandmother is Mrs. Mary ``Nana'' Barton.

Matt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Flint, III, and the grandson of Mrs. Helen Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Flint, Jr.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a summer satin gown with reimbroidered lace, simulated pearls and sequins adorning the fitted princess bodice, scalloped neckline and long sleeves. The basque waist led to a full skirt and semi-cathedral train which also featured lace appliques with pearls and sequins. Her finger-tip veil of illusion was attached to a headpiece designed with beadwork and crystals. The bridal bouquet was made up of yellow roses, pink baby carnations, white stargazer lilies and pompons, purple statice, and English ivy.

Stephanie Allman attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Hartman, the groom's sister; and Charity Potter and Regina Keefe, the bride's friends. Junior bridesmaids were Brittany and Mandy Guthrie, nieces of the groom. Amy Looney, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Grover C. Flint, III, served as best man for his son. Ushers were Jeff Hodges, Troy Horn, and Jason Wood, friends of the bride and groom. Junior ushers were Mark Hartman, nephew of the groom, and Tab Potter, friend of the bride and groom. Nathan Hartman, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Sonja Hickson, sister of the groom, served as the wedding director.

Providing wedding music were Patti Trail, vocalist, and Ruth Williams, organist. A reception was held following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall.

Both Shannon and Matt are graduates of William Fleming High School. Shannon has completed two years at Virginia Western Community College and been employed by Church Court Day Care and Kindergarten. Matt is stationed with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, San Diego County, California.

Following their cross-country honeymoon, Shannon and Matt will make their home in Fall Brook, California.

Harth-Smith

Jan Lee Smith and Josh Anthony Harth were married July 13, 1996, at the home of the bride's parents in Missoula, Montana, with Rev. Inge officiating. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The maid of honor was Denise Astle, a friend, and matron of honor was Shannon Hill, a friend. The flower girl was Amanda Wright. Gary Harth, father of the groom, served as best man. Usher was Chad Smith, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Cavan Cooney. Guestbook attendant was Miranda Smith. The bride is the daughter of Perry and Carol Smith, Missoula, Mont. She graduated from the University of Montana with a Nursing degree. She is employed by the U. S. Army. The groom is the son of Gary and Brenda Harth, Salem. He graduated from Glenvar High School and is attending the University of Maryland. He is employed by the U. S. Army. The newlyweds will live in Germany.

Hewett-Semones

Sarah Mae Semones and Wayne Hewett were united in marriage in Roanoke, Va. on September 1, 1996. The Reverend Phillip Ayers of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church performed the double-ring ceremony.

They were attended by Jean and Michael Vengrin of Radford, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. Courtney Vengrin of Radford, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Sarah is the daughter of Dorothy Semones of Radford and the late Nieve Semones. Wayne is the son of the late William and Grace Hewett of Tyler, Texas.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. Out of town guests were David and Cynthia Wirth of Dayton, Ohio, Dorothy Semones of Radford, Va., Connie Semones of Fairfax, Va., and Ted Bender of Silver Springs, Md.

The couple will reside in Roanoke.

Holland-DeVerter

Ann Margaret DeVerter and William Eric Holland were married September 7, 1996, at South Roanoke United Methodist Church. Officiating at the noon wedding were the Rev. Dr. Donald Roberts and the bride's father, Dr. John S. DeVerter. A reading from the Methodist Book of Worship was given by the groom's father, W. D. Holland. A reception followed at Hidden Valley Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John S. DeVerter of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Virginia Tech. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William David Holland of Brookneal. He is a graduate of William Campbell High School and Central Virginia Governor's School and of Virginia Tech. He is employed as an electronic engineer at Electronic Design and Manufacturing in Lynchburg, Va.

Mary B. DeVerter, sister-in-law of the bride, was mat ron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie A. Holland and Shari C. Vance, M.D. Landon O. McDowell was the best man, and groomsmen were Jason C. Bair, John E. Broussard, David S. DeVerter, and L. Shane Holland.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with a chapel train. The long-sleeved bodice of reembroidered Schiffli lace, seed pearls and sequins featured a V-neckline and basque waist.

After a honeymoon to the California coast, the couple will live in Lynchburg.

Hurley-Haynes

Page Devore Haynes and John Carson Hurley were united in marriage at seven o'clock in the evening, Saturday, August 17, 1996, at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke. The Reverend Donna K. Hopkins officiated. Immediately following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Saint Elias Social Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Ellen B. Haynes of Roanoke and Mr. Ronald E. Haynes, Sr. of Lynchburg, Va. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Norma Haynes Colley of Pawleys Island, S. C., and the late Vernon Haynes and Mary Belle and Jake Bollinger of Roanoke. Page graduated from Patrick Henry High School and is currently attending Roanoke College. She is employed by NBC Bank of Salem.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Doris P. Agee and Mr. Carson M. Hurley of Roanoke. He is the grandson of Vanola Williamson of Roanoke and the late Charles and Edith Powell of Bent Mountain. John graduated from William Fleming High School and will be a May graduate of Roanoke College. He is employed by Noble-Met Ltd. of Salem.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Vicky Haynes of Roanoke, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Dorise Hancock of Roanoke, sister of the groom; Dana Malinski of Pawleys Island, S. The matron of honor was Kristi Power, sister of the bride. The best man was David Jenkins, brother of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Basham of Roanoke, Virginia. She is a graduate of Northside High School, Virginia Tech and Hollins College and is employed as a Psychologist at Central Virginia Training Center in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Jenkins, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia. He is a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Western Community College and is employed by Vitramon, Inc. in Roanoke, Virginia.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Bedford, Virginia.

Barbara White and Howard Miller, Jr. were married August 3, 1996 at the Cave Spring Methodist Church. The bride was attended by her daughter, Christina Gilbert and escorted by her two sons, Carlton E. White, Jr. a nd Steven White. The groom's best man was his father, Howard Miller, Sr. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Bent Tree Club House.

Phillips-St. Clair

Cheryl Anne St. Clair and Neil John Phillips were married September 7, 1996 in Bernards Landing Conference Center. A reception followed. The bride was given in marriage by Tim Crawford. Matron of honor was Vicky Crawford, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christine Clark, cousin, Christine Pritchard, and Kathy Crassan, friends. Jr. bridesmaid was Ashley Crawford, niece of the bride. Best man was Mark Dudley, friend. Ushers were Brian Earls, Mike Huff and Joey Kline, friends, and Justin Crawford, nephew of the bride. The bride carried a bouquet of pink tiger lilies and white roses.|

The bride is a daughter of Barbara A. St. Clair of Roanoke and the late Charles R. St. Clair. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High, Roanoke, and Ferrum College, Ferrum, Va. The bridegroom, son of John & Kathy Phillips of Orange Park, Fla., is a graduate of Ferrum College, Ferrum, Va. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Florida.

Heather Deane McGuire and Michael Leon Richards, Jr., were united in marriage on September 7, 1996, at 6:00 in the evening. Reverend Robert L. Alderman officiated the ceremony at Shenandoah Baptist Church. The reception was held at the Historic Patrick Henry Hotel.

The maid of honor was Camille Stewart, cousin of the bride. The matron of honor was Melissa Johns, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Debbie Johnson, Karen Watson and Anne Zirkle, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kristin White, cousin of the bride. Guestbook attendant was Tracey Furr, friend of the bride.

The best man was Kevin Zirkle, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Mark Richards, brother of the groom, Brandon McGuire, brother of the bride, Jeff Lamie and Jason Marlow, friends of the groom.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of white bridal satin with heavily beaded Battenburg cut-out lace, sculptured V-neckline, basque waistline, long tapered sleeves adorned with lace and a cathedral train elaborately accented with beaded lace. Her headpiece was a halo of white satin flowers accented with a two tier layer of illusion.

She carried a bouquet of lilies, freesia, lily of the valley and plum color roses on her mother's wedding Bible.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wayne McGuire of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian School and Liberty University.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael L. Richards, Sr. of Essex, Maryland. He is a graduate of Kenwood High School and Wingate University.

The couple will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. Upon their return they will live in Salem, Virginia.

Robinson-Helm

Meredith Leslie Helm and Ronald Eugene Robinson were married August 24, 1996 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy White officiated.

The bride is the daughter of William and Ann Helm of Salem.

The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Audley Robinson of Roanoke.

Meredith wore an ivory satin and lace gown made for her by her sister, Ann Cook. She also wore an heirloom cameo brooch that is traditionally worn by brides in her family beginning with her great grandmother, the late Mrs. Maude Boon.

Michele McNiff of Vienna, Va., friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ann Cook of Roanoke County, Shirley Hunter of Roanoke, sisters of the bride, and Shenan Burton of Roanoke County, friend of the bride.

John Otterman of Montvale, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Rob Robinson, Tommie Robinson, both of Vinton, brothers of the groom and Greg Roye of Salem, friend of the groom.|

Meredith is a graduate of Salem High School and Va. Tech. She is an interior designer at Design Business I nteriors.

Ronnie is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. He is employed as a dialysis technician at Crystal Spring Dialysis.

After a trip to Virginia Beach, the couple is living in Roanoke.

Sigman-Hollingsworth

Donna Buchanan Hollingsworth and David Hossler Sigman were married August 17, 1996 at Lake Spring Park in Salem. Rev. R. Mack Jarvis, III of Cleveland, NC performed the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Inn at Burwell Place.

The bride was escorted by her sons, Justin and Brent. Standing with the couple were Sandy and Tim Galloway of Roanoke, who introduced them. Flower girls were Katie Graham, niece of the bride, and Kaitlyn, Shannon and Maggie Galloway.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. H. Lewis Buchanan, Sr. of Roanoke.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Beverly Sigman of Madison, Ga., and the late Dr. Cheney C. Sigman, Jr. He is employed by USAir.

Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Roanoke.

Snead-Painter

Andrea Dillon Painter and Garland Ray Snead were married August 17, 1996 at ``Abbott Lake'' Peaks of Otter Lodge with retired sheriff Carl Wells officiating. The reception was held in the ``Wind Room'' at the Peaks of Otter Lodge.|

The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Judy Dillon of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Roanoke, Va.|

The groom is the son of Edward and Helen Snead of Eagle Rock, Va.|

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her son, William Painter. She wore an off the shoulder white satin gown with sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice accented with Alencon lace, pearls and sequins. The puffed sleeves were accented with mini satin bows. Her headpiece was adorned with pink and white roses and accented with a white satin bow.|

Jessica Snead, daughter of the groom, was the flower girl.

Cindy Snead, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Mack Snead, brother of the groom, was best man.

Music was provided by flute soloist, Nanette Boling.

The bride is employed with Home Shopping Netwo rk in Salem, Va.

The groom is employed with Virginia State Police.

The couple will make their home in Bedford, Va.

Suggs-Bizova

Serpil Bizova and Matthew Proffitt Suggs were married July 6, 1996, at the Smith Mountain Lake home of Nancy Rankin Tyler, grandmother of the groom. The Reverend Dr. Charles Easley officiated. Music was provided by a string trio made up of friends of the groom's sister, Allison Suggs. An outdoor reception was held following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Suat Bizova of Rochester, New York, and Bursa, Turkey. She was escorted by her sister, Rose Bizova of New York City. Her maid of honor was Nilufer Maden of Rochester. The groom is the son of Mrs. William W. Suggs and the late Dr. Suggs. Navy Lt. William Chapman Suggs of Atsugi, Japan, served his twin brother as best man. Webster W. Wright III, friend of the groom, read an account of the unusual way in which the couple met.

The bride is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. She is employed by General Electric in Chicago. The groom is a graduate of the University of South Florida. He holds the rank of Captain in the United States Army and is currently stationed at Fort Benning, Ga. The couple plans to make their home in Chicago.

Thornhill-Fink

Amy Lynn Fink and Ricky Allen Thornhill were united in marriage Saturday, June 8, 1996, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, Fincastle, Virginia with the Reverend James George officiating. The reception was held at the La Maison Restaurant.|

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry L. Fink of Fincastle. The maid of honor was Tonya Fink, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lisa Altice, sister of the bride, and Jessica Thornhill, sister of the groom. Katie Jordan, cousin of the groom, was flower girl.|

Rick Thornhill, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Thornhill, brother of the groom, and Mitch Sheetz, friend of the groom. James Altice, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.|

The bride and groom would like to extend a special thank you to family and friends for making this day so special. We would also like to thank Belinda Williams for all her hard work and dedication.

Widdifield-Taylor

Robyn Michelle Taylor of Charlottesville and Chad Mark Widdifield of Buena Vista were married May 25, 1996 in an outdoor ceremony off the River Road outside Buena Vista.

The bride is the daughter of William and Betty Taylor of Palmyra.

The bridegroom is the son of Junior and Avis Widdifield of Buena Vista.

The Rev. David Bain of Buena Vista performed the double-ring ceremony. Jeff Mikels of Buena Vista provided wedding music.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a floor-length gown of white silk shantung.

Rhonda H. Cook of Palmyra, the bride's sister, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Robin Fulk of Charlottesville, Cindy Daley of Madison, and Lisa Johnson of Kents Store.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Ushers were Jeff McGuffin and David Chittum, both of Buena Vista, and John Hurst of Charlottesville.

A reception followed the service at the Ramada Inn.

The bride is a graduate of James Madison University a nd is employed by Keswick Corp. in Keswick.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Parry McClure High School and Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Crutchfield Corp. in Charlottesville.

The couple took a wedding trip to Europe, and is living in Greene County.
