PTA softball game

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Bethel Elementary PTA will have a softball game and cookout Tuesday at 6 p.m. before the 7 p.m. meeting. There also will be time for parents to visit classrooms and meet teachers.

Committee to meet

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Christiansburg Visual Enhancement Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Christiansburg Town Council chambers. This is a volunteer committee. For more information, including membership, call 382-6128.

Baby donations sought

BLACKSBURG - The staff of the First American Federal Savings Bank will have a "baby shower" to collect food, clothing and other baby items to donate to the Children's Home Society. Donations will be accepted until Friday at the bank from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bank is located at 111 E. Roanoke St., Blacksburg. This is the second year the bank has participated in the program. Last year, approximately $2,500 worth of items were collected. For more information, call 552-4311.

Volunteer fair

RADFORD - There will be a volunteer fair at Radford University Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. Local community service agencies will showcase their organizations and provide Radford students with the opportunity to explore volunteer activities. The fair is free and open to the community. The event will be in the Heth Student Center Ballroom. For information, call Gerri Glass at 831-6260.
