ADAMS, Betty Virginia, 71, of Roanoke, Va. and Stuart, Fla., passed away Sunday, September 8, 1996 in Stuart, Fla. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, attended Virginia Intermont College, and graduated from the University of North Carolina. Miss Adams was a former member of the Board of Trustees at Virginia Intermont College. She was formerly a partner in Adams Construction Co., and was the Chairman of the Executive Committee at Fuel Oil and Equipment Company. Miss Adams was the daughter of the late W. B. (``Bill'') and Martha D. Adams. Surviving are an uncle, R. E. Duckworth, Sr. and family, Roanoke; two aunts, Dulce Logan and family, Columbia, S.C., Sue O'Neal and family, Miami, Fla.; a special cousin, Mrs. Mary Hill Bell, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and special friends, Mrs. Barbara Coller, Richmond, Bill and Joyce Kirk and family, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from the cryptside, Sherwood Burial Park at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Donald E. Carlton and Dr. Charles (``Buddy'') Conklin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Roanoke Memorial Hospital Foundation, (1212 Third Street, S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016) or other charitable organizations. AGNOR, Jacqueline Fischer Lindsay, 76, passed away, Saturday, September 7, 1996 in Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home, Fairlea, WV. after a long illness. Born April 5, 1920, at Clifton Forge, Va, she was the daughter of the late Otto Harry and Effie Breedlove Fischer. Mrs. Agnor was formerly of Clifton Forge, Va, a member of the First Christian Church of Clifton Forge, Va, member of the order of the Eastern Star, Nurses aide for Hinton Hospital, Hinton, WV., and secretary and report clerk for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Franklin Lindsay in 1983; two sisters, Lillian Osman and Margaret Lee. Survivors include her second husband, John William Agnor, Beckley, WV; two daughters, Mrs. Laura McCoy, Lewisburg, WV, Mrs. Wilma Helen Smith, Athens, WV; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Luck, Montvale, Mrs. Alice Robinson and Shirley Pleasant both of Salem, and Mrs. Gloria Lewis, Danville; three brothers, Llewellyn Fischer, Salem, Robert Carl Fischer, Roanoke, Virginia and Michael B. BURSE, Lucille Collins, 61, of Franklin, N.C., died Sunday, September 8, 1996 at her residence. A native of Pulaski, Va., she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Alberta Davis Collins. She moved to Franklin in 1977 and was employed by the Macon County Department of Social Services since 1978 where she was the Income Maintenance Supervisor. She was a member of Patton United Methodist Church in Franklin and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sue Pendelton who died in 1991. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dean F. Burse; a daughter, Crystal D. Burse of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Douglas W. Collins of Radford; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, at Patton United Methodist Church, Franklin, N.C. The Rev. Frank Howard will officiate. She was born November 8, 1908 in Brunswick, Maine the daughter of Evelyn Elizabeth and Arthur Joseph Langford. Miss Langford was a retired Bible Teacher who taught in Bedford, Botetourt and Montgomery Counties. She was Supervisor of Weekday Religious Education for the Virginia Council of Churches. She was an active member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at Green Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Walter M. WALKER, Ramon Rudolph, 67, a native of Roanoke, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, September 8, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital. He completed 37 years Civil Service with the Naval Ships Research and Development Center of the Norfolk Naval Sh ip Yards. Mr. Walker was awarded by the Department of the Navy, the Distinguished Service Medal, the third highest civilian honor.
