The Cougars won their second consecutive non-district game, knocking off the defending Group AA Division 4 champions in Amherst.
The only score came in the first quarter, when Craig Hodge dived over from the 1-yard line on Pulaski County's second possession.

Amherst County crossed the 50 once in the second half, but Shay McMillan, Ryan Brockmeyer, Dalton and Rupe sacked Christian on consecutive downs to end that threat.
``I'm very proud of our defensive effort,'' said Joel Hicks, Pulaski County's coach. ``Once again, I would liked to have had a few less penalties. But in a game like this, the most important thing is to not make the crucial turnover or mistake.
``There was one big mistake in the game, we took advantage of it and our defense played super.''
The Cougars were hit by 52 yards on nine penalties.
Myers' punting was a big factor. Twice, when the Cougars were pinned deep in their territory, he hit punts of 49 and 53 yards. On eight punts, he averaged 43.6 yards.
Hodge carried 22 times for 71 yards in the defensive struggle.
