STATUTORY RAPE, OTHER CHARGES BROUGHT

A grand jury has indicted a Dublin man accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Ky Thanh Dao, 29, was arrested Tuesday after six direct indictments, including statutory rape, were certified by the Pulaski County Circuit Court grand jury Monday.

The indictments charge that Dao engaged in oral sex with the girl three times and intercourse three times. Sheriff's Office Investigator Brian G. Wade said his investigation showed Dao may have been with the girl more than six times from December 1995 to June.

The girl is now 15, but was 14 at the time the incidents are supposed to have occurred, Wade said.

Wade said the girl's parents filed the complaint.
