An absolute auction for inventory of Leed's Inc. will be held Saturday and next Thursday. The long-time retailer and renter of musical instruments filed for bankruptcy in June. The sales will, be held on the upper level of Towers Shopping Center behind the Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurant.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and at noon Sept. 19.
Merchandise from all Leed's Music Centers will be up for auction. Pianos, accessories and student instruments will be sold the first day. The piano auction will begin at 3 p.m. Professional instruments and public address equipment, as well as accessories, will be sold the second day.
The merchandise will be available for preview today from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Leed's, which was founded in the late 1940s in Martinsville, opened a location in Roanoke in the 1970s. The company also operated stores in Lynchburg and Danville.
Woltz & Associates Inc. of Roanoke will conduct the auction.
