Riverheads hit Bath County with a full-court press at the start of overtime and scored the first nine points of the extra period to take a 61-48 non-district girls' basketball victory Thursday night.
Bath County's Katie Hardbarger led all scorers with 26 points, but Riverheads had more balance with Kara Hughes scoring 13, Tracy Sorrells 12 and Kelly Price 11. It was the second overtime game of the year between the schools.
