CELEBRATIONS - WEDDINGS

Berthiaume-Erdim

Pamela Gail Erdim and Daniel Joseph Berthiaume were married September 4, 1996 in Cancun, Mexico. She is the daughter of Mrs. Zona Farrington Erdim and Dr. Feyyaz Erdim of Roanoke. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Julien Berthiaume of Longueuil, Quebec.

The wedding was held on the beach at sunset. The bride wore a white, one piece bathing suit with a matching sarong, roses in her hair and carried a bouquet made of natural sponges, starfish, sand dollars, sea urchins, sea shells, seaweed and cattails. Elizabeth Martin Cantley of Roanoke was the matron of honor and Robert George Cantley of Roanoke served as best man.

Pamela graduated from the College of Charleston in S.C. with a B.S. degree in psychology and recently finished her teacher certification in the Mals graduate program at Hollins College. She will be teaching for the Temple Independent School District in Temple, Texas.

Daniel has spent nine years as a goalie in the National Hockey League playing for the L.A. Kings, Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senato rs and the Minnesota North Stars. He also played for the Roanoke Express for parts of the past two seasons. He will be playing for the Western Hockey League in Temple, Texas where the couple will reside.

Bland-Wheeling

Announcing the wedding of Michael Bland to Pamala Wheeling on Sunday, September 1st, 1996, on the lawn at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harmon.

The groom's mother is Mrs. Bonnie L. Harmon, and his stepfather is Mr. Frank Harmon. Mrs. Evelyn Young is the mother of the bride. A reception followed the ceremony at Coach & Four Restaurant, where Pamala is employed. Mr. Bland is employed by Rowe Furniture. The couple will reside in Roanoke, Va.

Coffey-Turner

Joyce L. Turner and Ronald Lyle Coffey were married August 31, 1996, in Roanoke city. The bride is the daughter of Vester and Mary Hamm. She is employed by VA Medical Center. The groom is the son of Henry Thomas Coffey. The newlyweds will live in Troutville, Va.

Crookenden-Williams

Angela Christine Williams and Ian Sinclair Crookenden, Jr. were married September 14, 1996 in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lexington, N.C. The Reverend Craven Ford was the officiating clergyman. A tent reception was held on the grounds of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Kristi Thornhill was the mat ron of honor. The maid of honor was Jessica Williams, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Anissa Leatherman, Tiffany Little and Ashley Peck. The flowergirls were Alexandra Crookenden and Anna West, nieces of the groom.

Ian Crookenden served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Allan Crookenden, brother of the groom; Kris Williams, brother of the bride; Taylor Cole, Frank Edmonds, David Gilmore, Charles Lunsford, Chris Sappington, Phillip Thompkins and Doug Vaughn. The ringbearer was Collin Crookenden, nephew of the groom. Kris Williams was the Alcolyte and Allan Crookenden was the Crucifer.

The bride is a daughter of Nikki L. Williams of Lexington, N.C. and Wayne and Joann Williams of Clemmons, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Venice A. Leonard and Mr. V. Donnie Williams, all of Lexington, N.C. Ms. Williams is a 1988 graduate of Lexington Sr. High in Lexington, N.C., a 1992 graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., and a 1994 graduate of Randolph Community College in Asheboro, N.C. She was formerly employed by Lexington Furniture Industries as an interior designer.

The groom is a son of Christy and Bolling Izard of Roanoke, Va. and Ian and Dianne Crookenden of Winston-Salem, N.C. Mr. Crookenden is a 1987 graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke, Va. and a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is self-employed as a sales representative for Lexington Furniture Industries.

The newlyweds will live in Bridgewater, N.J., after the wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica.

Dahlman-Marshall

Andrea Kelly Marshall and Brian Jeffrey Dahlman were united in marriage on September 14, 1996, at Christ Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark William Radecke officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Marshall of Boones Mill. The groom is the son of Mrs. Dean Richardson of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Mr. Robert J. Dahlman of Baton Rouge, La., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kreckler of Milwaukee, Wis.

The matron of honor was Stephanie Marshall Willis of Pittsburgh, Pa., sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Melissa A. Baker of Chicago, Ill. The bridesmaids were Mary Catherine Baldridge of Roanoke, Va.; Masha Joyce of Manassas, Va.; and Elizabeth Saliba of West Chester, Ohio.

The best man was Donald J. Dahlman, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Robert Mihelich of Milwaukee, Wis.; William Mihelich of Placentia, Calif.; Jeffrey Schauf of Chicago, Ill.; and Bradley Robinson of So uth Pasadena, Calif. The ushers were Greg Dahlman of Houston, Texas, and Michael Dahlman of Oconomowoc, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is a Flight Attendant with Delta Air Lines. The groom is employed by Cargill, Inc., and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The reception was held at Hunting Hills Country Club. Following a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Firestone-Powell

Melissa Carol Powell and Raymond Bennett Firestone, Junior were married September 14, 1996 in Melrose Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray Frazier was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held in the Roanoke Ballroom of Hotel Roanoke.

Cathy Simerly of Charleston, S.C., friend of the couple, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Beth Firestone, sister of the groom; Ginger Powell, sister-in-law of the bride; Jacque Carro, Kelly Stallard and Amy Aaronson, friends of the bride. The flowergirl was Keaton Gilreath, cousin of the bride.

Benny Firestone, Senior, served as his son's best man. The ushers were Steve Powell, brother of the bride; Shannon Wilborn, Danny Stallard, D.J. Henley, Greg Teets, Blake Collins and Mike Mullins, friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Nicholas Sloane, fri end of the bride.

The bride wore a custom-made sheath dress of white bridal satin and pearl trim. She carried a cascading bouquet of white lilies, stephanotis, orchids and ivy.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Powell of Roanoke, Va. She is a graduate of Radford University and is employed by The Post & Courier, Charleston, S.C. The groom is the son of Ms. Nancy Firestone of Daleville, Va. and Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Firestone, Senior of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Radford University and is Co-owner of Cory Everson's Aerobic & Fitness.

Following the wedding trip to Aruba, the newlyweds will reside in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Fralin-Elliott

Glenda Jean Elliott and Jeffrey Wayne Fralin were united in marriage on Saturday, September 14, 1996, at Bonsack United Methodist Church, Roanoke, Virginia. The Reverend John Ashley officiated the ceremony. The wedding reception was held at the Lancerlot Banquet Room.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie A. Elliott of Daleville, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. W. Glen Garrison of Lynchburg, Virginia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Mitchell of Lynchburg, Virginia, and the late Mr. Roy C. Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elliott of Virgilina, Virginia, and the late Mr. S. Alfred Elliott, and Mrs. Lorene Garrison of Lynchburg, Virginia, and the late Mr. William Garrison.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve A. Fralin of Blue Ridge, Virginia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Giles of Blue Ridge, Virginia, and Mrs. Elsie Freeman of Vinton, Virginia, and the late Mr. Eugene Freeman.

Katrina Elliott served as her sister's maid of honor. Jaimee Rosenthal, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Molly Yancisin, Margo Taylor and Gretchen Bousman, all friends of the bride and groom. Amber Nance, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girl.

Steve Fralin, father of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Steve Fralin, Jr., brother of the groom, Steve Driscoll, Jeff Crawford and Doug Clinton, all friends of the bride and groom. Taylor Elliott, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

The guestbook was attended by Tanya Fralin. Program attendants were Laura and Erica Elliott, cousins of the bride. Music was provided by Jamie Imondo, Ray Pulliam and the Handbell Choir.

Glenda and Jeff are both graduates of Lord Botetourt High School and Virginia Tech. Glenda is employed by Burlington Klopman Fabrics as a Management Trainee. Jeff is employed by the Lane Furniture Company as a Cost Accountant.

After a wedding trip on a cruise to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in Moneta, Virginia.

Frioux-Blalock

Kristen Lara Blalock and Steven Roy Frioux were united in marriage on August 24, 1996 at St. Peters Cathedral in Belleville, Illinois, with the Reverend Eugene H. Wojeck officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight E. Blalock of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Louis Frioux of New Iberia, Louisiana.

Escorted to the alter by her father and given in marriage by her parents the bride wore a gown designed by Alfred Angelo with a fitted bodice accented with beads and pearls. The full skirt fell into a cathedral length train and was enhanced by beaded and pearl appliques. The bride's headpiece was trimmed with white miniature roses and individually attached beads with a tiered cathedral length veil. She carried a trailing bouquet of white bridal lilies, white and pink alstroemeria accompanied by baby's breath, miniature ivy, pearls, and netting.

The bride's matron of honor was Lisa Craighead of Roanoke, sister of the bride. Her maid of honor was Katrina Blalock of McLean, Va., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ms. Dana Frioux of New Iberia, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Amy (Wilson) Hartung of Belleville, Ill., friend of the bride. Ms. Lory Frioux of New Iberia, sister of the groom, was the reader. Stacey and Shannon Craighead of Roanoke, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Lawrence Williams served as ring bearer.

Mr. Louis Frioux was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Smith and Mr. Rick Thorpe of Belleville, friends of the bride and groom, and Mr. Jason Craighead of Roanoke, nephew of the bride. The vocalist was Ms. Virginia Williams of Belleville, a friend of the bride and groom. Mr. Dennis York was the organist.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception and dance was held at the NCO Club at Scott Air Force Base. Music was provided by the Starlifter Band.

The couple will live in Belleville, where both are members of the Air Force Band.

Groves-Foti

Elizabeth Anne Foti and Scott McHenry Groves were married on September 14, 1996 in Cave Spring United Methodist Church. Rev. William C. Logan was the officiating minister. The reception was held at the Shenandoah Club.

Vickie Sue Guilliams, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Friends of the bride Katye Bane, Anne Grimsley, and Jimmie Bryant were the bridesmaids. Madison Victoria Foti, niece of the bride, was the flowergirl.

Eric Russell Groves, brother of the groom, was the best man. The ushers were Frank Foti, brother of the bride; Jon Groves, brother of the groom; Colm McCaul and Chris Reynolds, friends of the groom.

The guestbook was attended by Carl Bryant, friend of the bride.

The bride's gown was designed by Christos . She carried a bouquet of a loose and airy tear-drop design with cascading flowers, featuring pink roses.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor F. Foti, Sr., of Roanoke, Virginia. She is a graduate of North Cross School in Roanoke and Roanoke College, and is employed by Viamac Inc.

The groom is the son of Ms. Carol Groves of Roanoke and Mr. Joe Groves of Heathesville, Virginia. He is a graduate of Glenvar High School in Roanoke, and is employed by The Davison Company.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Florida.

James-Huffman

Anitra Lynn Huffman and Kevin Wayne James were married on June 29, 1996 in Crystal Springs Baptist Church. The officiating pastors were Rev. Barry Witt and Rev. Jeff Etheridge. The reception was held at Crystal Springs.

The maid of honor was Samantha Huffman, cousin to the bride. The bridesmaids were Amy James, sister of the groom; Lisa Linkenhoker, aunt of the bride; and Brittany Huffman, sister of the bride. The flowergirl was Jenny Feller, friend of the bride.

The best man was William M. James, father of the groom.

The ushers were Wade Huffman III, brother-in-law; David James, brother; and William Altizer, friend.

The ringbearer was Ryan Linkenhoker, cousin. The candlelighters were the ushers, and the guestbook was attended by Cameron Rowland.

The bride is the daughter of Earnest Huffman II and Theresa Rowland of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt in Daleville.

The bridegroom is the son of William and Dorian M. James of Roanoke.

The newlyweds will live in Garden City.

Jessen-Kriz

BLACKSBURG - Jennifer Lasenko Kriz and John Joseph Jessen were married September 1, 1996, in a double-ring service conducted by the Reverend D. A. Eugene Beverly at the Red Lion Inn, Blacksburg. The sit-down dinner and dance reception immediately followed the ceremony. Ceremony music was performed by Ms. Margo Easter, oboe; Mr. Richard Turner, bassoon; and Mr. Wallace Easter, horn. Reception music was provided by Mark Curtis DeeJay's.

Attendants were matron of honor, Amy Davidson, friend of the bride of Fairfax, Va.; bridesmaids were Catharine Bambach, friend of the bride of Fort Collins, Col.; Abigail Marceluk, cousin of the bride of Wilmington, Del.; and Lucy Jessen, sister of the groom of Lynchburg, Va.

The bride wore a white silk gown with lace bodice, decorated with seed pearls and sequins, and a semi-cathedral train. The semi-cathedral length tulle veil was attached to a crown headpiece created by the bride and was enhances with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of white gardenias, roses, and stephanotis, with trailing ivy. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Bridesmaids wore tea-length periwinkle silk dresses that echoed the scalloped neckline and short-sleeved styling of the bride's gown. They carried cascading bouquets of purple lizanthum and iris, and white roses with trailing ivy. Mother of the bride wore a fuschia crepe de chine tea-length suit with gardenias corsage. Mother of the groom wore a matching teal crepe de chine tea-length suit with gardenias corsage.

Best man was Scott Edelman, friend of the groom of Virginia Beach, Va. Groomsmen were Kris Edelman, friend of the groom of Virginia Beach, Va.; Thomas Jessen, brother of the groom of Lynchburg, Va.; and Harry T. Kriz, brother of the bride of Williamsburg, Va.

The guestbook was attended by James Jessen, brother of the groom; van drivers were Robert Jessen, Jr., Scott Jessen, brothers of the groom and Bradley Marceluk, cousin of the bride. Table directors were Courtney and John Scherer, III, friends of the bride. Farewell bird seed was distributed by Jeanette Woods, sister of the groom, and Ryan and Rebecca Woods, nephew and niece of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Constance Lasenko Kriz and Dr. Harry M. Kriz of Blacksburg. The groom is the son of Mary Mattice Jessen of Lynchburg and the late Dr. Robert B. Jessen, Sr. Jennifer is a graduate of both Radford University and Virginia Tech, and was employed as Transportation Planner for the Central Virginia Planning District Commission, Lynchburg. John is a graduate of Old Dominion University and is a project engineer with United States Gypsum in Norfolk. After a honeymoon trip to Disney World, the couple will reside in Chesapeake.

Kegley-Schell

Karen Holbert Schell and Jason Lee Kegley were married August 4, 1996, in Deming Park, Terre Haute, Indiana, with Rev. David Lowe officiating. The reception was held at American Legion Hall, Terre Haute, Ind. The matron of honor was Sherri Webb, sister of bride. Bridesmaids were Mandy Schell, daughter of bride, and Christel Holbert, niece of bride. Flower girl was Jennelle Cooper, niece. The best man was Johnny Chilton, friend. Ushers were John Webb, brother-in law, and Seth Webb, nephew. Ring bearer was Joey Schell, son of bride. The guestbook was attended by Jason Holbert. The bride wore a gown of chiffon, silk and sequins. She carried a bouquet of purple and white mums. The bride is the daughter of Elmer and Jeannette Holbert of Terre Haute, Indiana. She attended West Vigo High School, Terre Haute, Indiana, and is employed by Aramark Uniform Service. The groom is the son of Debra M. Howard of Roanoke, Va., and the late Lewis E. Kegley. He graduated from Cave Spring High School, Roanoke, Va. Jason is the grandson of Lawrence (Buck) Mays and the late Opal T. Mays (maternal) and Hazel C. Kegley and the late Lewis Kegley (paternal). Keith-Matthews

Brandi Elizabeth Matthews was given in marriage by her father to Brian Carter Keith on Saturday, September 14, 1996 in Southview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. The Rev. George Pearson officiated. The reception was held at Fitzpatrick Hall at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke.

Shannon Peters of Troutville, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Laurien Lensch, also of Troutville, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Shannon Anderson of Roanoke, VA; Amy Everhart of Kurebeach, NC; Andrea Lucas of Birmingham, AL, and Tanya Brown of Vinton, VA, friends of the bride; Tanya Matthews of Asheville, NC, cousin of the bride; Debbie Brogan of Cloverdale, VA, sister of the groom; and Joyce Keith of Roanoke, VA, sister-in-law of the groom. Shawna Brogan, niece of the groom, was junior bridesmaid. The flowergirl was Jenifer Brogan, niece of the groom.

Martin Keith, the groom's father, was the best man. The bridemaids' luncheon, given by the bride's parents, was Friday, September 13, at La Maison in Roanoke, VA.

The rehearsal dinner, given by the groom's parents, was Friday, September 13, at The Home Place in Catawba.

The music for the service was provided by organist Julie Sample and soloist Rodney Painter.

Photography was provided by Barry Brooks of Vinton, VA. The videography was provided by Rudy Allen of Roanoke, VA. Flowers were by Violet Keith, mother of the groom and owner of Botetourt Flower Shop in Daleville, VA.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Matthews of High Point, NC. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville, VA, and attended VA Western Community College and graduated from Roanoke Memorial School of Practical Nursing. She is employed by Avant Nursing Center.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Keith of Cloverdale, VA. He is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville, VA, VA Western Community College from which he earned an Associate's Degree, and Roanoke College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a teaching certificate. He is employed by Federal Express in Roanoke, VA.

After a cruise, the newlyweds will reside in Cloverdale, VA.

King-Gautier

Michelle Dawn Gautier and Gregory Scott King were united in marriage June 29, 1996, at Old Brick Presbyterian Church, Radford, Va., with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. The reception followed at the ``Norwood Room'', downtown Radford.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Gautier of Radford. She is a graduate of Radford High School. The groom is the son of Mrs. Jo Ann King of Salem and Mr. Melvin King of Floyd. He is a graduate of Salem High School and Radford University.

Pam Loan, sister of bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Sandra Reaves, friend of the bride and Patty Gautier, sister-in-law of bride. Junior bridesmaid was Jessica Yopp, (little sister of bride). Cierra Reaves served as flowergirl.

Melvin King, father of groom, was best man. The groomsmen/ushers were Glenn Powell and Rob Humphrey, friends of the groom. Timmy Gautier, Jr. served as the ringbearer, nephew of the bride.

The guestbook attendant was Linda Simpkins, friend of the bride. Melissa Newchurch, vocalist, performed ``Because You Love Me'', from the bride to the groom. Debbie Linkous served as pianist, and Angie Petty, sister of the groom, was the photographer.

The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Paige and the late August A. Paige of Johnstown, PA. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and is employed by Westat, Inc., Rockville, MD. The groom is the son of Bobby R. and Joyce C. Martin of Roanoke. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School and received his BA and MA Degrees in Sociology from The University of Virginia. Matron of honor was Marlene Davis, twin sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michele Agostini and Jill Kleppinger. Junior bridesmaid was Lauren Rizzo, niece of the bride. Best man was Dr. Michael J. Martin, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were David Laughlin and Robert Lill. Junior groomsman was Paul Rizzo, nephew of the bride. Ring beare r was Kevin Martin, nephew of the groom. Bible readings were given by A'ndrea Martin, niece of the groom and Jill Huse, friend of the bride.

After a wedding trip to Italy the couple will reside in Falls Church, Va.

McCloud-Agnor

Sarah Katherine Agnor and Christopher Scott McCloud were married on August 24, 1996 in Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Weldon Myers performed the ceremony. A reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Linda Agnor of Buena Vista, and Willie and Peggy Wines of Cloverdale. The groom is the son of Grover and Linda McCloud of Roanoke.

Lisa Clark was her sister's matron of honor. Mary Lee Huffman, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. The flower girl was Lindsey Fizer, and Donna Wines was the guest book attendant.

The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Willie Wines Jr., and Troy Clark.

Paula Fizer directed the wedding. Donna Meadow provided the wedding music.

The couple will reside in Cloverdale, after a wedding trip to Williamsburg.

McDaniel-Reed

Tammy Lynn Reed and Roger Lee McDaniel were married on August 22, 1996 in Glenvar Church of God of Prophecy. Rev. Ron Boyd officiated. The reception was held in the reception hall of the church.

Pamela Slone, sister of the groom, was the matron of honor.

Harold McDaniel, the father of the groom, was the best man.

Friends of the couple, Tony Baldwin was the usher and Kim Reynolds attended the guestbook.

The bride's gown was hand-made by her grandmother of white satin with a lace bodice.

The bride is the daughter of Charles W. and Carolyn B. Reed of Roanoke County. She graduated from William Byrd High School in Vinton, VA and Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, VA and is employed by Jefferson Internal Medicine.

The groom is the son of Harold D. and Debbie D. McDaniel of Salem, VA. He is a graduate of Glenvar High School in Salem, and is employed by Salem Frame.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke County after the wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Morris-Bailey

In a candlelight wedding at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church, Samantha Ruth Bailey and Patrick Douglas Morris were married on August 10, 1996. Dr. William H. Jackson performed the double ring ceremony. The matron of honor was Susan Bailey-Newell of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Amy Racey, friend of the bride of Winchester, Virginia. The best man was Douglas F. Morris, father of the groom.

The bridesmaids were Elizabeth Hervis, friend of the bride of Roanoke, Virginia, Sharyn Morris, sister of the groom of Boston, Massachusetts, and Angel So, cousin of the bride of Los Angeles, California. Groomsmen were Terry Claytor, friend of the groom of Charlotte, North Carolina, John Donn elly, friend of the groom of Dublin, Virginia, David Hale, friend of the groom of Floyd, Virginia ,and Jon Humphries, friend of the groom of Radford, Virginia. The flower girls were Rachel Chitwood of Pulaski, Virginia, and Jordan Holleran of Richmond, Virginia. The ring bearer was Edmund Chitwood of Pulaski, Virginia. Rachel, Jordan and Ed are the nieces and nephew of the groom. Parents of the bride are Hyo Sun and Raymond Bailey of Greensboro, North Carolina. Parents of the groom are Jane and Douglas Morris of Dublin, Virginia.

The bride wore a traditional wedding gown also worn by her sister in 1987. A reception was held at the Norwood Room in Radford, Virginia. Both Samantha and Patrick are graduates of Radford University. Patrick is a Certified Public Accountant practicing in Radford. The couple are living in Radford and plan a wedding trip to Florida in September.

Price-Lanford

Mary Clayton Lanford and Timothy Reuben Price were married September 14, 1996 in R.E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church in Lexington, Virginia. Rev. R. David Cox and Rev. D. Holmes Irving officiated. The reception was held at the Lexington Golf and Country Club.

Victoria Lee Hutcheson was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Jacqueline Marie Kjono and Charlotte Beade Lomax. The bride's niece, Sarah Cartmell Myers, was the flowergirl.

Daniel Jacob Price, the groom's brother, was the best man. The ushers were Brian Howard Sponaugle, Mark Daniel Hutcheson and Daniel Crown Rosenberg.

The groom's nephew, Dakota McKinley Phillips, was the ringbearer.

The bride's gown was white silk with a lace bodice, a full skirt with lace appliques, and a chapel train. She carried a cascade bouquet of white lilies, roses, freesia and dendrobian orchids.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sarah G. Lanford of Lexington, Virginia and Mr. John C. Lanford of Roanoke, Virginia. She is a graduate of Lexington High School, Sweet Briar College, and the University of Alabama, and is employed by Dominion Saddlery of Chantilly, Virginia.

The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Gaye M. Price and the late Rev. James R. Price of King George, Virginia. He is a graduate of King George High School and The College of William and Mary, and is employed by Alcatel Data Networks of Ashburn, Virginia.

After the wedding trip to Hawaii, the newlyweds will reside in Haymarket, Virginia.

Richardson-Fisher

Dawn Alissa Fisher and Wesley Allen Richardson were married Saturday, September 14, 1996, at Chamblissburg Baptist Church, Moneta, Va. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. George C. Law.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Fisher of Vinton. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fisher of Hardy and Ms. Edith Woznick of Fort Wayne, Ind. The groom is the son of Mr. Barry Richardson of Roanoke and Ms. Cathie Stermer of Roanoke. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Thomas of Vint on and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Richardson of Roanoke.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Kimberly Fisher, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Brandi Surkamer, Kara Glidden, Kelly Smith and Kim Tilley, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Ashley Masterson and Jessica Doyle. Taylor Deason, cousin of the bride, was miniature flower girl.

The best men were Barry Richardson, father of the groom, and Allan Thomas, grandfather of the groom. Groomsmen were Andrew Tamagni and T.J. Tamagni, brothers of the groom; Robbie Hodges, Justin Hayslett and Chris Blevins, friends of the groom. Ushers were David Bishop and Earl Richardson, uncles of the groom. Ring bearer was Joshua Webb, friend of the bride.

Dawn is a graduate of Roanoke Valley Christian School. She is employed by Orthopedic Surgery of Roanoke. Wes is a graduate of William Byrd High School. He is employed by Crouse-Hinds Distribution Center, a Division of Cooper Industries, and also serves in the United States Army Reserves.
