Two projects on Hollins Road in Roanoke County are among the $12.2 million in building permits issued last month in the Roanoke Valley.
The Roanoke County building office reported that a permit for $800,052 was issued for a new Clover Creamery building, while another is for construction of the $521,551 Norman Mason office building nearby.
The City of Roanoke issued a $1.34 million permit for construction of The Jefferson condominiums at Jefferson and 22nd streets in south Roanoke. The largest permit in Salem was to Joe Prillaman for a $65,000 telephone tower.
The value of August building permits rose 39.5 percent from $8.7 million last August.
