IT'S APPLE BUTTER MAKIN' TIME AGAIN

Members of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program have spent the last two days peeling apples, and today they'll use them to make 50 gallons of apple butter at Park United Methodist Church on Park Street in Christiansburg. They'll start about 5 a.m. and continue into the afternoon, all in preparation for the big annual apple butter sale at the Wilderness Trail Festival on Saturday in downtown Christiansburg. Apple butter will be on sale for $3 a pint or $5 a quart. Proceeds will help fund the group's programs. Stop by early because they usually sell out fast.
