One area mommy may be weeping instead of boasting over a photo album of her child.
She's lost the unbearably cute Halloween picture of her tiny tot, costumed as a Holstein cow and bucking up on a giant pumpkin.
"Mom's Brag Book," a small album of 3- by 5-inch photos, mysteriously turned up in a downtown restaurant last month. The owners of Angler's Cafe on Second Street would like to get it back to its owner.
"We found it in a drawer of one of the tables," said Mary Stuart Van Metre, who along with her husband, Steve, owns the Second Street eatery. Since then, Van Metre has kept the album at the front counter near the cash register.
It's generated lots of comments, but so far nobody has been able to identify the woman or the small boy or girl in the photos.
Do you recognize anyone in either of these two samples? If so, call Van Metre at 342-2436.
