A Salem man died Tuesday evening, two days after an apparent accidental shooting.
Woodrow Dennis Gibson, 19, of the Willow River apartment complex on Lancing Drive was pronounced dead at 6:04 p.m. in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital's neurointensive care unit, a nursing supervisor said.
Police, responding to a 911 call, found Gibson in his apartment with a gunshot wound to the head, Salem police Sgt. D.R. Divers said.
Police believe the shooting was accidental. Detectives working the case were unavailable for comment Tuesday night.
