Sara Conner jump-started the Floyd County offense with eight of her team-high 14 points in the first quarter as the Buffaloes romped to an 80-36 victory over Graham in a non-district game Wednesday night in Floyd.
Floyd County (8-1) led 19-13 in the first quarter before steadily pulling away. Julie Sowers added 11 points and Jill Quesenberry had 10 for the Buffaloes.
Graham (1-5) got a game-high 15 points from Tamala Oakes.

Abingdon 61, George Wythe 54: The Falcons hit their free throws in a physical non-district game and topped the Maroons in Abingdon.
Abingdon hit 15 of 27 free throws, while George Wythe made 20 of 36. The game was even after the first quarter, in which the Falcons took a 15-6 lead.
Kamala O'Quinn had a big effort for Abingdon, scoring 15 points, Cassie Carmack had 14 and Brigette Maxwell had 12.
Megan Johnson of George Wythe was the game's high scorer with 18. Teammates Aletha Lemieux and Tabitha Cook added 12 and 10, respectively. A
