Barker birth
Taylor Leigh Barker, weighing 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and 19 inches long, was born August 28, 1996 at 11:55 am in Lewis-Gale Hospital. Her parents are Teresa and Phillip Barker. She has a 19 month old sister, Katelyn Rae Barker. Maternal grandparents are Roger and Carol Sizemore of Salem, Va. Paternal grandparents are Cecil and Virginia Barker of Cascade, Va. The attending physician was Dr. Mark W. Gustafson.
Champney birth
Craig and Amanda Sloan Champney joyfully announce the birth of their daughter, Sloan Olivia Champney, born Friday, August 9, 1996 at 1:14 p.m. at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. Sloan weighed 6 lbs. 10-1/2 oz. and was 19-1/2 inches long. Proud first-time grandparents are Forrest and Sandra Sloan of Roanoke and David and Marlene Champney of Lynchburg. We would like to thank Dr. Randall Falls, delivering physician Dr. Kurt Stockstill, and the Community OB/GYN staff for their excellent pre-natal care and Sloan's safe delivery. Special thanks to Dr. Kistner for the epidural. Our heartfelt thanks to the nursery and maternal-child staff and especially to L&D nurses, Stephanie Phillips and Leigh Ann Hodgkin. Most of all we would like to thank God for the blessing of our precious daughter.
Divers birth
Kirk and Carol Divers joyfully announce the arrival of Hannah Therese Divers.
Hannah was born September 9, 1996 at Lewis-Gale Hospital and weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches. She is welcomed by her brother Philip (2 1/2), grandparents Don and Barbara Divers, Mary Fetherolf, Bob and Mary Lee Hunt, and great grandmother Lucille Kingrey.

Martin birth
WIth thankful hearts, we are proud to announce the birth of our Little Angel, Rachel Brianna Martin. Rachel was born at Lewis Gale Hospital on July 18, 1996, at 6:46 pm. Attending Physician was Dr. Harms. Rachel weighed 5 lb. 7 ozs. and was 19 inches long. Rachel's proud parents are Rae and Nicole Martin of Vinton. Her Grandpa and Grandma are Homer and Betty Martin of Salem. Her Papa and Nana are Doug and Loretta Gibson of Vinton. Proud Godparents are Andy and Lisa Scott of Salem. Rachel, we all love you very much, you are very special, and we welcome you into our lives. You were definitely sent from heaven and you will always be Daddy's Little Girl!!
McCoy birth
Megan Ashley McCoy was born July 26, 1996, at 7:50 p.m. at Lewis Gale Hospital. She weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz. was was 21 inches long. Parents are Matthew and Traci McCoy. Grandparents are Mike and Geneva McCoy of Christiansburg and John and Pat White of Blacksburg. Attending physician was Dr. Harms.
