Clarification

A Sept. 3 story about Clyde Easter's speech on Memorial Day at the American military cemetery at Nettuno, Italy, should have said the Carroll County man had been spurred to seek a role for a veteran on the program because no veteran was on a similar Memorial Day program at the cemetery two years ago.

Veterans did play roles in the 50th anniversary of World War II ceremonies in Italy that year.
