Drive-through clinic
CHRISTIANSBURG - The Montgomery County Health Department will hold its second annual drive-through flu and pheumonia clinic Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the parking lot of Park United Methodist Church on Park Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic is suitable for people who have limited mobility, are wheelchair bound, or unable to get into and out of a car easily. The health department provided shots to 100 people in last year's drive-through clinic.
Nurses will provide the vaccines, and the service should require about 15 minutes. Participants should wear loose clothing.
Flu shots are $7 and are covered by Medicare and Medicaid with a card. Pneumonia shots are $15.
