After serving time, murderer returns home

Randall Lee Smith brutally murdered a young couple hiking the Appalachian Trail in May 1981. The victims' bodies were found in shallow, leaf-covered graves off the trail. On Friday, Smith will finish serving his plea-bargained, 15-year prison term for this double homicide and return to his native Giles County.
