Following the wedding, a reception was held at Old Salem Post Office.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ray Groton of Salem. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Higginbotham of Goodview. The couple now resides in Salem.
Hilborn-Urey
Robin Marie Urey and Kevin Lee Hilborn were united in marriage on Saturday, June 29, 1996, at Cave Spring Baptist Church. The Reverend Rick Elmore performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Urey of Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. DeForest Urey of Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania and the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton Jessell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Hilborn of Roanoke, Virginia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. V. T. Caldwell of Roanoke, Va. and the late Mrs. George Strader of Bluefield, W.Va. and the late Mr. Charles L. Hilborn, Jr. of Clearwater, Florida.
The maid of honor was Miss Gina Scott, of Troutville, Virginia, friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Stephanie L. Hilborn, of Roanoke, Virgini a, sister of the groom.
The best man was Charles L. Hilborn, father of the groom. The groomsman was Mike Mabry of Roanoke, friend of the groom.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.
The bride is employed by American Electric Power.
The groom is employed as a pilot with Continental Express Airlines.

Inzana-Dyer
Dr. Karen Renee Dyer and Dr. Thomas Joseph Inzana were united in marriage on September 28, 1996 at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, Virginia. Reverend Katherine L. Carpenter officiated the ceremony. The reception was held at Blacksburg Country Club immediately after the ceremony. Members of the wedding party included Lisa Dyer, Pamela Brown, and Melissa Brown, cousins of the bride, and Jeannine Inzana, daughter of the groom. Mark DiGiovanni served as best man. John Inzana, brother of the groom, and Christopher and Jason Inzana, sons of the groom, served as ushers. Guests were greeted by Debra, Kaylee and Kourtney Claymen, also cousins of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Doris Dyer of Knoxville, Tennessee. She received a BS degree from King College in Bristol, Tennessee, a DVM degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and an MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The groom is the son of Mr. Edward Inzana and the late Josephine Inzana of Rochester, New York. He received BS and MS degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens and a PhD in microbiology from the University of Rochester. Both are faculty members in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech.
Kegley-Cox
April Denise Cox of Christiansburg and Stanley Craig Kegley of Galax were married Saturday, September 28 at Main Street Baptist Church in Christiansburg. Rev. Peter L. duPlessis officiated the candlelight service. The bride is the daughter of Allen and Geneva Cox of Christiansburg. Parents of the groom are Kyle and Emmalene Kegley of Galax.
Angelia Dawn Cox of Charlotte, NC, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Allison Danelle Alderman of Durham, NC, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Martha Winesett and Lynn Johnson of Blacksburg and Rhonda Cole of Kodak, Tennessee. Mary Elizabeth Downey, cousin of the groom, was the flowergirl.
The father of the groom, Kyle Kegley served as the groom's bestman. Other groomsmen were Brad Winesett, Mustafa Eitani, and Tim Johnson of Blacksburg and Tom my Carrico of Galax.
Ms. Beverly Guynn, friend of the bride and groom, directed the wedding. Music was provided by organist Carter Edmondson; soloists were Charisse Skinner and Tara Yates. A reception followed the wedding at Custom Catering in Blacksburg.
The bride is a graduate of Wytheville Community College with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene and is employed by Dental Associates of Roanoke. The groom is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. He is employed by QualiChem in Salem.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Salem.
Keith-Taylor
Susan Lynn Taylor and Henry Chiles Keith were married September 21, 1996 in St. Pauls Ivy. The Rev. Miller Hunter officiated. The reception was held at St. Pauls Ivy.
Dana Annette Bilby, friend, was the matron of honor. Friends Betty Slough and Cynthia Spaur were the bridesmaids. Claire Keith, daughter of the groom, was the jr. bridesmaid. The flowergirl was friend Jessica Spaur.
William Hedrick, friend, was the best man. Ushers were Thomas Keith, father; Randy Keith, brother; and Garrett Taylor, brother of the bride.

The bride wore a formal gown of white satin adorned with schiffli embroidered lace and seed pearls. The fitted silhouette featured a v-neck, basque waist, and long fitted sleeves. The softly gathered skirt swept into a chapel length train.
The bride is a daughter of Claudia Taylor of Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Natural Bridge High School in Natural Bridge, VA, and Longwood College in Farmville, VA. She is employed by Kroger.
The groom is the s on of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keith of Charlottesville, VA. He is a graduate of Western Albermarle in Crozet, VA, and is employed by Pepsi-Cola.
The newlyweds will live in Charlottesville after the wedding trip to Western Caribbean Cruise.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Linkous of Christiansburg. She is the granddaughter of Herbert and Opal Crews of Radford and Ruth Linkous and the late Riley M. Linkous of Christiansburg.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Rebecca S. Eicher of Christiansburg and Mr. James E. King, Sr., of Dublin. He is the grandson of Romey and Annie Solomon of Parrott and the late Floyd and Louise King of Dublin.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and presented in marriage by her parents.

Mayhew-McGrath
Amy Lynn McGrath and Craig Benjamin Mayhew were married September 14, 1996. Reverend James Grealish, Pastor of St. Jude Catholic Church, officiated at the First Baptist Church in Radford. The dinner-dance reception was held at the Farmhouse Restaurant. Family and friends from thirteen states gathered to celebrate the four-day event.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McGrath of Dublin, Virginia. The groom is the son of Mr. Rick Mayhew of Providence, Rhode Island and Ms. Barbara Mershon of E. Hampstead, New Hampshire. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Cranston High School, Rhode Island, and the University of Arizona.
The maid of honor was Shanna Carroll from Texas, long-time friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Susan Pascale, friend of the bride from Rhode Island, Amy Barrons, friend of the bride from Arizona, Cynthia Antignano, step-sister of the groom and Tracey Mayhew, sister-in-law.
The best man was Dane Mayhew, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Kevin DeCesaris, life-long friend of the groom from Rhode Island, Ken Carlson, friend of the bride and groom from Illinois, Scott McGrath, brother of the bride from New York and Mike McGrath, brother of the bride from Rhode Island. Guest book attendant was Elise Gary from New York and program attendant was Christina Walker, cousin of the bride. Readers for the liturgy were the bride's godparents, Ron Zimmerman and Joyce McGrath, and the groom's uncle, Jack Leonard.
For something old, the bride carried a silk handkerchief that belonged to her great-great-great grandmother Lee.
After their honeymoon in Jamaica, the newlyweds plan to live in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Michelle Fernatt Creed and Alan Paul Novitsky were married on September 7th in the Vinton War Memorial Senior Center. Sherwood Spence was the officiating minister.

In a candlelight ceremony at Glade Creek Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, Monica Ann Quinn and Richard Jeffrey Sprinkel were married on September 28, 1996 by Reverend Phillip Ayers.
The bride is the daughter of Nancy C. Quinn and Raymond E. Quinn of Roanoke. She is the granddaughter of Virginia S. Quinn of Roanoke.
The groom is the son of Sandra G. Redden of Roanoke and Richard E. Sprinkel of Fincastle. He is the grandson of Betty G. Johnson of Roanoke.
Escorted by her fat her and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a Mori Lee mermaid style gown accented with pearl and sequin appliques, as was the cathedral length train. She carried a cascading bouquet of white cymbidium orchids, fuchsia and white dendrobium orchids and verigated ivy.
Stephanie L. Quinn, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Virginia Dasse-Behan, Andrea Milliron, and Cindy Smith, friends of the bride.
Richard E. Sprinkel, father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Russ Sprinkel, brother of the groom, Randy Brown, Rud Peters, and Jeffrey Williams, friends of the groom.
The guest registry was attended by Shelli Martin and the program presenter was Cher Nelson, friends of the bride.
The photography was provided by Jim Markey and video was by Pat Frizzell. The soloist was Rolando Twine and the organist was Brian Geiser.

After the honeymoon in St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Cloverdale.
