TAR HEELS FORGE TIE WITH VIRGINIA

Junior midfielder Billy Walsh and junior forward Mike Slivinski both scored overtime goals, but the No. 2 Virginia men's soccer team only could manage a 3-3 tie at North Carolina on Sunday.

The Cavaliers (6-0-3 overall, 1-0-2 ACC) trailed 2-1 with less than six minutes to play when the duo scored 1:05 apart. UNC's Temoc Suarez added a goal at the 116:40 mark to forge the final tie.

``The outcome is a little disappointing because we were not able to hold the lead with four minutes to play,'' Virginia coach George Gelnovatch said.
