STAUNTON RIVER GIRLS TRIUMPH

Penny Forrest scored 18 points Monday night to lead Staunton River to a 52-45 girls' basketball victory over James River.

Erin Wolfe had 11 assists and Forrest grabbed 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (5-5).

Amy Sprinkle scored 16 points and Nakia Burrell added 15 for James River (2-7).
