Would your child be a big hit in a television commercial?
Well, here's a chance at stardom. Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Virginia's largest health insurance company, said Wednesday it is seeking youngsters for an upcoming ad campaign. The commercials will be similar to several running now that feature children talking in their own words and style about health.
The casting call, by PeopleFinders Inc., is open to Virginia residents between the ages of 3 and 6. To be considered, parents must send a five- to seven-minute VHS videotape of the child close up and talking casually about doctors, staying healthy or other health-related topics. The tape must be recorded within one month of entry, and the child should begin by stating his or her name and age.Entries must be postmarked by Oct. 31 and mailed to P.O. Box 27401, Attn: Casting Call, Richmond 23279. Parents with questions may call (800)515-1671.
Up to 50 semifinalists will be invited to live auditions in Richmond in mid-November at their own expense. As many as five children will be selected in January after the commercials have been created.
