A federal judge has ended a lawsuit filed by several environmental groups seeking to block construction of the "smart" road through Montgomery County's Ellett Valley. See the story on today's front page.

The very bones of Revolutionary War hero Casimir Pulaski have apparently been unearthed in Savannah, Ga., from a monument built in 1854 in Pulaski's honor.

The possible discovery of his remains comes just as the town and county of Pulaski are preparing to celebrate the town's 19th annual Count Pulaski Day on Saturday. The discovery surprised local history buffs who had thought the hero had been buried at sea. Read the full story today on the front page.
