FACTS ABOUT KISS AND THE ALIVE TOUR

*An estimated 10.2 million people will see Kiss in concert on this tour - 8,500 of them at the Roanoke Civic Center.

*During the tour, Kiss will use a total of 54 pounds of theatrical makeup.

*Gene Simmons will regurgitate 358 pints of blood.

*Kiss will spend more than $170,000 on stage outfits and platform boots.

*Ace Frehley will use not only his "smoker" guitar, but one that launches rockets.

*Kiss members had their face makeup designs copyrighted in the 1970s.

*For his birthday this year, Gene Simmons received, from drummer Peter Criss, one pottery statue of three big-bottomed women in bikinis. "It's for his desk," Criss said.

*The parents of Kiss members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley know their children by the following names: Gene Klein, Stanley Eisen, Peter Crisscoula and Paul "Ace" Frehley.

*All members of Kiss have children.

*Members of Kiss swear, but they do not use the "F-word" on stage.
