          practice outing, and riders (left to right) Mary Bare, Diane Johnson
          and Bambi Litchford take advantage of it to prepare for the Bedford 
          County Hunt's Old Fashioned Point-to-Point on Oct. 13. The equine 
          events start in the morning with the Hunter Pace race for local 
          riders.  A new competition, the terrier races, start at noon. The 
          epicurean event of the outing, the tailgate competition, runs from 
          noon to 1 p.m. The afternoon's six races will include the popular 
          stickhorse for the children. color.
