Barranco birth
Sal, 17 months, would like to announce the birth of his baby sister, Anne Marie Barranco. ``Annie'' was born in Radford Community Hospital, September 1, 1996 at 7:32 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs .and was 19 1/2 inches long. The proud parents of Sal and Annie are Stephen & Mikki Barranco of Salem, Va. The grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. S.D. Barranco of Blacksburg, Carol Brunty of Richmond, and the late Gerald Brunty. The great-grandparents are Ann Fielder of Andrews, N.C. and Ruth Mackey of Blacksburg. Also, the late Benton Fielder, James Mackey, Andy and Nellie Brunty and Steve and Frances Barranco. Special thanks to everyone who helped bring Annie into this world, especially Dr. W. Shaffer, III and the wonderful nurses at RCH.
Pease birth
Preston Cooper Pease proudly announces the birth of his new sister, Samantha Lindhe Pease, born September 9, 1996, 8:18 a.m. at Community Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. and 1 1/2 oz. and was 20 inches long. Equally proud parents are Scott and Dinia Pease. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Keffer, II, and Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Davis. Great grandmothers are Mrs. Jane G. Pease and Mrs. Mattie V. Bishop. The attending physician was Dr. Robert Vermillion
Sayers birth
Dean Colberg Sayers, weighing 7 lbs. 12 1/2 oz. and 20 3/4 inches long, was born at Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley on Juy 15, 1996 at 12:15 p.m. His parents are Jerry and Susan Sayers. Paternal grandmother is Catherine Virginia Sayers. Maternal grandparents are Noel Colberg and Patricia Jean Peterson. Dr. Kurt Stockstill was attending physician. We would like to extend our prayers to his dad, Dr. Leigh Stockstill. Little Dean, you are our Mr. Peepers. We love you so much
Vandergrift birth
Heather Michelle Vandergrift was born September 13, 1996 at 12:38 p.m., at Community Hospital. She weighed 5 lbs. 6 3/4 ozs. and was 17 1/2 inches. Her thankful parents are Michael and Theresa Vandergrift. She has a brother, Ben, 8 years old. Her grandparents are Emmette and Heather Vandergrift, Charles Hicks and the late Joann Hicks.
