HAT TRICK BY FISHER LEADS UVA

The top-ranked University of Virginia soccer team played its best game of the season Sunday as Mike Fisher's hat trick fueled the Cavaliers' 5-0 Atlantic Coast Conference rout of North Carolina State in Charlottesville.

``This is probably the best we have played so far this season,'' said UVa coach George Gelnovatch. ``We may have played better for a half in other games, but this was the first time we put it all together for 90 minutes.''

Fisher's first tally was the 50th of his career, making him the third Cavalier to attain the goal.

Ryan Borst and Mike Slivinski added goals for Virginia (8-0-3, 2-0-2).

Yuri Sagatov was credited with one save for the Cavaliers, who outshot the Wolfpack (4-2-2, 0-1-2) 18-6.
