Seminar looks at eating disorders
RADFORD - Marlene Boskind-White, a Radford consultant to the U.S. Olympic Team and nationally recognized eating disorders expert, will speak at Radford University at 7 p.m. Thursday in Heth Ballroom.
Also speaking during a seminar on exercise, nutrition eating disorders and other health issues important to college students will be Julie Dubner, a Radford crisis intervention specialist, and two area exercise physiologists.
The seminar, organized by dietectics student Lorelea Buffington of Roanoke, is sponsored by several departments and offices at Radford University.

Floyd library to hold raffle
FLOYD - The Floyd County Friends of the Library is sponsoring a money raffle.
Tickets are on sale at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library for $1 each.
The winner of the raffle will receive 40 percent of the money raised. The remainder of the proceeds will be split: 50 percent will go toward the children's program at the library and 10 percent will go to the ticket seller. The drawing will be Dec. 7.
